An aerial view of PWPs

I'm feeling like I want a lighthouse in my town for nostalgic gamecube vibes. That godzilla and transformer are amazing though

Am I the only one who doesn't plan on cluttering the island up with a ton of stuff like that?

No, I feel the same. I'm definitely excited to put obvious outdoor decorations outside, but I won't be having indoor furniture or giant teddy bears outside, lol.

Nope!! It looks cute but it doesn't look outdoors-y to me. Most of the stuff I put outside will be outside stuff such as benches, log furniture, etc. It'll give my island more of an island feel rather than a living room feel. c:

That and I'm not really good at designing so I can't really think of themed areas I want in my island anyhow :3

Nope, I feel the same. Looks less like a town and more like a play set to me. I?m not too big on placing obvious indoor furniture outside in general (like couches, instruments etc.)

I generally feel the same, but I did really like seeing the acoustic guitar on a stump outside in a different trailer. At least that's something that makes sense to be outside.

I also like the idea of setting up workstations and even the porta potty temporarily while the island is undergoing heavy terraforming or construction.

Oh I absolutely agree—I remember that guitar and felt the same way!
I think exceptions can definitely be made, but it’d be for a very particular reason on my part. I’d also be silly and move items like that when it rains (the thought of a drenched guitar or soaking cushions makes me cringe lol)

I hope the interface and the way we add pwp in our town is changed. ACNL's method was such a hassle and annoying half the time. Most of the time I wouldnt add PWP because they were that much of a pain

There still seems to be some concern about this, where people want easier "PWP" (larger type furniture?) placement but I feel like those will work the same way as regular furniture? Eg. Placing as a furniture and moving/rotating them as usual. Has any play through (PAX/tutorial/early release) mentioned New Leaf PWP mechanics at all? I don't think we're going to have to worry about this to be honest! In the trailer from that screen shot we also saw a few "construction" type barriers but I think those might only be for bridges and ramps. We also know from trailers that larger buildings such as shops and houses are moved manually with white-box squares to indicate location placement. I reckon bridges and ramps, or any "PWP" that takes a day to build will also give us this visual option. I'm sure just placing things in general will be way easier this time around!

Loving the new items we can use! I personally probably wont use a lot of these but it's nice to see all the possibilities and possible themes people will come up with.

this commercial just made me ten thousand times more excited to visit other people's dream towns and islands.

100% agree. Its cute but just looks like someone couldn't keep all their furniture inside their house and started to put it outside cause theres no room.

Wonder what their house looks like. Find out tonight on a new episode of hoarders.

I am excited about the directional sign (especially seeing this new color option for it!), the arcade machine, and the little.. puppet theater? Not sure what to call it. The cart with the little animals inside it playing instruments.

I don't mind the way it was done before. I like that you had to make a commitment in time and bells to get something built. It made sure I really wanted a specific PWP because I'd have to wait to build poor destroy it. I don't want things to be too easy.

Isabelle gave a zoomed in preview which made it hard to see where exactly something was going, unless you used holes or patterns to build guidelines.

The February 20 direct showed a glimpse of tent placements, which should be more or less the same for PWPs. It looks a lot better now.

Theres clutter and there's eclectic decor which is very hard to master because one wrong move and it goes from granny chic to hoarders. While the image I posted looks like a hodge podge of items I know there's people in this community who can make intricate and complex towns that are still balanced.
