i'm island hopping because i'm bored, i don't have a villager in mind so i'm just seeing if i find anyone groovy

but i found sherb and i left him because he's kinda basic imo but i feel awkward just ditching him because he's new and pretty popular

i know i shouldn't feel bad because he's literally a digital goat but i still do 😅

ive left dom like 4 times, i left sherb once too (i felt so bad bc hes cute lol)
i left raymond once but i kinda regretted it afterwards because i couldve taken him and gave him away to someone who really wants him 😣

i find sherb and dom so often it's unreal, but then i feel bad everytime i leave 😅
i did find audie once and left her too then my sister asked for her 2 days later, which was pretty awkward

I don't tend to do too much online trading so usually not. I do try to appreciate the less popular villagers though, I think it's more interesting when there's a healthy mix of them rather than just the populars and such.

I dont island hop but I've gotten rid of Raymond, Audie, Dom, Whitney, and probably countless others from my island or campsite before.

Its your island and yours alone. If you dont want 'em, no need to have them.

I do have Sherb but that's because I genuinely really like him

In the beginning I did, but if you go island hopping often enough you encounter them so many times that you get used to it. The second time I saw Raymond after giving my brother the first one, I thought about inviting him again just to trade him for NMT but thought of all the work it’s going to take so I just left him.lol

same, i love almost all villagers so island hopping is pretty easy when i don't have someone in mind but then it's also hard to leave villagers that would have made someone else happy 😅

I only usually feel bad when I leave a villager that I like and might regret not taking, I came across Freya once but I didn't take her as I was looking for Molly but now I've never come across her again - I'm sure I will soon but it's a slight regret that I didn't just take her then. Also I often see Sprinkle when island hopping and I'm not really looking for a penguin at the moment but I always feel bad leaving her as she's so cute and she turns up so often.

Popular villagers like Merengue, Zucker and Stitches I've seen numerous times but I don't feel bad leaving as I'm not really interested in them, and I have absolutely no remorse of leaving Harry the hippo (the most common villager I see) on the island because I'm sure he's only around to haunt me.

With doing so much island hopping I've just learnt not to feel bad about leaving so many villagers or I'd just always end up taking the first one I came across and never find the one I was actually looking for 😂

No. As much as I'd like to think I'd trade villagers, I'm way too lazy to even do it. I had Julian on my island and I just let him sail the seas without giving him to someone. I just want villager photos as they come and go. I rather take someone who fits my island theme than because of popularity.

I don't feel bad about leaving islands with popular villagers. I feel a bit guilty about ignoring the unpopular villagers. :-(

lol I definitely feel a pang of guilt about it. The super popular ones I've passed that don't have amiibos (Dom, Audie, Sherb, Raymond...) are the ones I tend to feel the guiltiest about, since I know they're just generally harder to get ahold of, but I definitely feel it a little for others as well, like Fang, Marshall, Molly, Erik, Fauna, most of the cats, really, Stitches, most of the cute dogs...

The ones I don't feel bad about at all are the octopi, lol. I feel like I run into them so frequently that they no longer feel rare at all.

I got Ankha island hopping 85% because I wanted to sell her for NMT or IGB when I was done with her. But it took me so stinking long to get her picture, by the time I could move her out, I didn't need either anymore. So now I mostly don't care. I'm basic anyway, so I end up wanting a lot of the popular villagers myself 😂

oh gosh i just left molly! i wish i invited her for u now i have her amiibo anyway, this is my level of guilt 😅

and same, i feel like zucker and merengue are on every island i go to haha
i've never found harry on an island though, he's alright, i'd probably invite him

my very first island tour was Stitches and i left him behind. i think about that sometimes
Mostly I don’t care too much but man I see people on Instagram occasionally talking about how much they want him and i just feel bad i didn’t pick him up then so I could pass him off to somebody else who actually likes him yknow?

I do feel a little guilty leaving villagers behind. I don’t trade villagers a lot because I like to give them gifts and most people want them ungifted. I do really regret leaving Tangy behind I never saw her again but I already had 3 peppy villagers and was trying to find Roald.

yep i left sherb the other day too n felt so bad :c i really wanted him in the beginning but zucker found my heart first

aww thank you, I do actually have Molly on my island now though 😊 it seems to be the other villagers that I’d left while looking for her that don’t want to turn up anymore 😂

yeah Merengue especially I find turns up a lot, it makes me feel bad constantly leaving her as she’s new but I don’t find her that interesting

I barely play with others, so no. I only feel bad if I really like the villager.

Honestly, I find it funny more than anything else 😂 If someone is going to be "YOU REALLY LEFT SO AND SO", well then they probably have bigger issues.

We all have our different tastes! If someone likes a villager due to their popularity, that is A-okay with me! But back when Raymond was popular, you would be shunned if you ever let him go. It was ridiculous.

I've left Dom, Marshal, Judy, Sherb, Fauna, Erik, all the popular ones I've left many times.

I don't even waste time talking to them, i see them and then turn around, if you're not on my list you're getting ignored.
