anyone else feel bad about leaving islands with popular villagers?

When I was villager hunting I just ignored anyone I wasn’t looking for. Selling/trading popular villagers isn’t really part of my gameplay. I’ve also felt bad when no one wanted to adopt my “less desirable” villagers so I just try to avoid it in general and keep whoever I connect with at the beginning :’D

I never exactly feel bad. I mean I found Raymond once and took him due to him being the only smug villager I wanted 😂

But I’ve seen Sherb and left him to hunt for cube. I’ve ran into Audie countless times and left her. I’ve ran into Dom and passed on him due to a relative having him and not wanting to confuse them.

I mean even the ones that aren’t new in New Horizons like Lucky, Aurora and Roald. I mean I did eventually take lucky after a failed Judy hunt for a friend but.

You shouldn’t feel bad for leaving them.

No. Because if you don't like them/aren't interested in them it's okay to leave them behind. I have found a few popular villagers at mystery islands and confidently left them behind, no regrets doing it. I just had to find the ones I loved most.

Yeah I would feel bad a little, but i think nintendo is way more to blame than us hahaha
