If i have a Japanese 3DS, and I want to pre-order the Japanese version of the game but I live in America, is there anywhere I can do that?
I looked on Amazon and you can pre-order the US version, but I didn't see anything for the Japanese version...
Because I want the physical copy, not the digital copy.

You can digitally download it with a japanese 3ds. It probably will be easier and won't take as long

EDIT: Oh... Sorry! I didn't read your whole post.

I've never ordered from them, but I've heard PlayAsia is a really good website for getting Japanese games.

It's alright! Yea my mom wants me to get the physical copy so that once it comes out in my region, I can sell the Japanese version of the game.

You can get it from Play-asia or Yesasia.

Yesasia usually has free shipping available. Looks like playasia is offering free shipping for the game too.

Playasia: http://www.play-asia.com/Tobidase_Doubutsu_no_Mori/paOS-13-71-18m-49-en-70-54q3.html
Yesasia: Doesn't have it up for pre-order yet but:

Bundle: http://www.yesasia.com/us/nintendo-...e-japan-version/1031784168-0-0-0-en/info.html
Just the game: http://www.yesasia.com/us/animal-crossing-jump-out-3ds-japan-version/1031407926-0-0-0-en/info.html

Amiami has it at a much CHEAPER price, but pre-orders aren't open yet: http://www.amiami.com/top/detail/de...nimal+crossing$pagemax=100$getcnt=0$pagecnt=1

Actually...depending on how much shipping is from Amiami; play-asia or yesasia may be cheaper.

I've used PlayAsia a lot in the past for NA games, in the good old days when my ds was young, carefree and not region locked! Now it's grown up in to a 3DS I haven't used the website for a while but from past experiences I can wholeheartedly recommend them.

Definitely go with yesasia or playasia. They have the best prices plus free shipping.
You should go with playasia this time since yesasia's pre-order stock is totally sold out. Luckily I pre-ordered right when it was put up. :D

thank you this is great!! I was going to just get the digital copy but that requires going through all the eShop steps in Japanese which I DO NOT speak... that would have been fun :p

You're welcome. :)

I'm getting the digital copy and had to go through the eshop and when I got stuck I got out my English 3ds and used that to compare the Japanese one with. ^_^;
I can't read kanji.

If you do import the Japanese version, let me know. :) We can visit each other's towns.

Are you using Japan codes for the nintendo cards?

No, I just used my creditcard directly on the eshop.

You can use a credit card that's not Japanese on the e-shop?!???! Cool.. O.O

I usually just go with the site Japan-codes.com for my Nintendo points. I've spent over $500 on that site, so I know it's trustworthy.

Yes, you can. :) I wasn't sure if it would work either until I tried it. I bought a Japanese point card from Yesasia before, but I didn't want to do that again.
I haven't spent much in the eshop. ^^; The only thing I have bought is the Pokemon AR searcher.

yes I am definitely getting it! but not til Christmas :/ so I can play with you Christmas day! when i do though, i am going to have to message you first for the basics, like which is yes, no, and the difference between "buy, try on, nevermind" etc :)

Christmas may seem far away now, but it will fly by. :)
I would think that buy, try on, and nevermind will stay in their current order, same goes for yes and no.

and here, what do these options say...?

I can't read Kanji and the furigana is hard to see on the second picture, but on the bigger yellow picture, I believe the second option says "Plastic bench" so those are items you can choose to place in your town.

In the second picture, the last option says "nan demo nai" which would be your nevermind option.
