Are there any items that you tend to use a lot of in decorating?

So many natural log benches- I have a bit of an obsession with putting them near tree stumps, lol. Also, I just gave Savannah and Raymond matching sets of iron garden tables and chairs outside their homes (if you look up their homes, they make perfect neighbors and those items fit super well). Also, lot of garden lanterns and street lights, of course. And I've got various stalls set up for various reasons- I've got a farmer's market, a beach bar, a beach stall with bait, etc. I'm thinking about doing a museum gift shop outside, too!

Most of my reusing is outside, and I don't worry about it- after all, I'm guessing very few towns in real life don't have some repeated benches or lights or stuff. I try and spice things up where I can, but I appreciate having my old favorite items, too!

We have too many great items so I only reuse the ones I really, really like (like the ones from the spooky series) or some specific ones such as Turkey Day stands, zen cushions, log stools and leaf stools.

I tend to use those more because I decorate with many bug and fish models, but thanks to the customisation options, most of them are different from each other (for example, the Walking stick model is on top of the white wood log stool while cicada shell calls the orange log stool home). I do have other options that fulfill the same function, but I choose to repeat these ones because I like them more/fit better.

Double Sofa everywhere I've come to notice. I've also seem to be using furniture that are able to be walked on a lot more. Things like the leaf piles and scattered papers. Bug models as well.

I love street lamps, mush lamps, palm tree lamps, tall lanterns, paper lanterns, nova lights etc. I like items that add light or glow at night. I really wish they had a way in game to make hanging paper lanterns, like paper lantern garland. I wish lighted garlands could be used outside. That would be amazing!

Also, I love butterfly models.

my island use to be all leaf piles, but i ended up removing them. i guess the decorations i use most frequently are rocks. do weeds and mushrooms count? my island is covered with them

I use lots and lots of leaf piles, outdoors and indoors. Natural log benches and log stools are all over my swamp (beach with lots of weeds). In my desert area I use tons of termite mounds and acanthostegas.

I have a fair bit of “repeat” decorations in my town! I tend to find something I really like and want to use it everywhere lol

I like to add some kind of light/lamps in front of my villagers houses. These change seasonally but that means I always have at least ten of something on display! I’ll use hyacinth lamps, the little orange lanterns, Jack-o-lanterns, the small bounty trees, and small festive trees depending on the time of year!

I adore the nova lights and have a fair bit of them in my little cliff/naturey area! I customize them to be different colours. In the fall I’ll use a lot of those spooky lanterns and mush lamps too!

I really like the little springy ride on horses, too. I think I have four on display? I really wish we could sit on them 😔💕

Oh and the leaf piles! I love putting those in villagers yards in the fall and sporadically along my paths. When the snow melts I’m hoping to make a bunch of cherry blossom piles to do something similar!

I can't help but place various lamps (hyacinth, mush, palm trees, now the festivale balloons lol) as well as star fragments, nova lights, and nova clocks.

I have honestly an awful lot of barrels for no reason on Muir Wood. And decoy ducks, although at least those make sense for the cottagecore theme.

On Inverness...streetlamps, I guess? And fences, there are hedges and iron / stone fences everywhere.

Sitting areas using all kinds of different tables and chairs.
Rocking chair
Teddy bears
Dollies
Coconut drinks and fruit baskets.

Do custom paths count? :x (That's probably obvious, though, lol... And obviously not an item.)
Hmm... I guess floor lights, pyramids, shell speakers, various statues I've placed around my island for Aesthetic™️, and definitely weeds.

Paper lantern, cherry blossom lantern, Bamboo grass, crescent Moon chair, mush lamps and maaany stalls.

I have paper tigers everywhere but that’s like... my theme 😂

Surprisingly I use a lot of flower based items and wooden items to decorate. I like using the flower stands from the wedding event the best, and if they were available as a ground item rather than a wall item, I'd use the wall flowers from the wedding too. I'm also liking adding bug models in, I feel like it adds something to the island, and I prefer Flicks models over CJs since CJs seem a bit weird, guess you could say they're a fish out of water. I'd love it though if CJ or another NPC would start making models of the diving creatures, there's so many of those, like little crabs and stuff I'd love to pop on my beach. My hermit crab model, Hermes, lives on my beach, and he's a bit lonely :'D

Streetlight
Wooden bench
Wood steaks
Single piece of Country fence
flowers (Lilies and Pansies)

I mean in terms of my house, I'm a sucker for fan palms; I think I have at least one in every single room on the main floor! As for the outdoors, I currently have a ton of ice pillars and frozen trees near RS to get into the winter theme (those will be coming down, however). I also love streetlights, I have those and those giant stone lamps sprinkled throughout certain places of the islands.

Also near my waterfalls, I have so many star fragments and large star fragments sprinkled about like it's nobody's business 😂

Just flowers really. They keep multiplying like crazy (even though I constantly clear them out after rain or snow). I use them to fill in my empty areas as I don’t like an island jam packed with items but also don’t like bare spots.

So jam packed with flowers it is.

i tend to use a lot of crescent-moon chairs, soft-serve lamps, mush lamps and the log extra-long sofa when decorating. partially it’s due to the lack of current furniture options but it’s mainly because those are some of my favourite items and i like using them. :’)

Hedges and fences aside, I have a lot of streetlights, garden lights and garden benches outside. I like to keep it simple. I mostly use nature and paths to decorate.

Inside, my house have varied decor. I don't have too much repeating furniture.
