i'd try to buy it as soon as it releases but it also depends what games are debuting. now that i think about it i feel like i'll only play animal crossing LOL so whenever that comes out 😂

Honestly I'm not sure? I feel like eventually I will since once it comes out they'll only be making games for that system, but I'll try to hold off as much as I can because it honestly doesn't seem worth it. If they didn't stop making games for the regular switch, I'd probably never get one (I think they know that though which is why they're doing it the way they are)

Unfortunately, not for a few years. 😭 While I'd love to, I purchased the Nintendo Switch Oled only 2 years ago, and I don't have the funds for a new console. :> Getting one for Christmas would be sooooo amazing, however I have a lot of family and we don't usually spend more than $100 on each other. But that's ok!! I love my baby girl (my switch) and I just recently spoiled myself with a new mini PC! ^w^

I definitely plan on getting it. I'm a forever Nintendo fan <3

Will I get it the day it's released? Probably not but I'll eventually get it.

i wouldn’t buy it immediately unless a game i really like comes out at launch. if so i would sell my current switch for money towards the successor since supposedly it has been confirmed to support backwards compatibility.

Not unless it does something new and has games that can't be played on the regular version. My OLED one is as good as it's gonna get.

Not immediately, gonna wait a couple years into it's life cycle before I get it. If a Metroid game gets released for it in the meantime though, I'll be awfully tempted!!

Not immediately. It'll depend on the games they offer because I barely play nowadays and have very specific interests (being Mario Kart and Animal Crossing mostly)
And if they just release Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Ultimate (joke) I think I can pass that console for a while.

I haven't even gotten the Switch, so probably not. I mean like it sounds cool, but so does so much else, and I can't buy everything

Not going to deal with the hassle of trying to get Switch 2 right away. There's always way more demand than supply for new Nintendo consoles. There are still some games I haven't gotten to on Switch, so I don't mind waiting to see how Switch 2 is and then decide if or when I'll get it.

I dont trust nintendo to pull it together so well, I am weary from switchs joycon flimsiness. Being a part of the wave is like no other thing for initial release, I think those days have gone for me; from the days of my xbox 360, and ps3 days was when I was there for it all. Then xbox one first of all is the worst console name in the world; because its "all in 'one'", but on release they told us we cant own games anymore. Anyways more to the point of nintendo in relation, their games arent quite the same spirit of their recent past, they feel jumbled together even as one and a bit too flashy in a way where Im drawn in.

Nintendo has to change things waaayyy back to the original fat ds and gamecube days of quality and creative energy, such positivity even in dark games like resident evil 4; I saw a video where the creator of RE4 went to a local game store where they had a demo planned before release and he adjusted the brightness settings to make it perfect for the game on their TV, cause he wanted the experience to be perfect the way he imagined and built it for. They could do it, Id be there even if it werent enough.

I just got back into my switch for a couple games again cause I got a new controller that doesnt drift or scare me to think its gona snap off in my hands with flimsy joycon plastic on metal rails. The DS was sturdy. Thou be not delivered unto the ways of microsofts temptation of being a console that does everything, for nintendo has a bright talent in a small place.

I think it depends on a few things like what games are going to be available upon release, but not only that I would want to know if there would be backwards capability with games that you purchased on the first switch. I don't want to have to rebuy games, so if I am able to bring games to the new switch that would be great and then I wouldn't need to have the original switch anymore. I also want to know how expensive it is going to be and if it will be in high demand I may wait a bit because it took some time to get a PS5 so I have a feeling it will be the same for the new switch.

It's been officially addressed by the president of Nintendo a few weeks ago: Switch 2 will let you play Switch 1 games.

Day 1! 🎉

For one reason - I want to see how/if the backwards compatibility will work with animal crossing (i can finally have an island all to myself!) - and I'm super curious how it'll work if switch2 has its own animal crossing later on.

Supposedly, any switch game will be playable on switch 2. 🎉

Also hoping internet connectivity is better, etc.
