My secret beach is over at A5. Originally I can't remember where it was on my first island but with the recent update I've actually noticed the thing again. To be honest I'm still struggling to figure out what to do with it, it being on the far right however is great! My island naturally generated with 3 waterfalls and it falls smack dab right in the middle of two of em'. Good placement, just wish the area was a bit larger to fit in those giant furniture pieces.
Do the secret beaches have different sizes? I swear mine has less sand than some of the others I've seen so I can't place a lot of furniture on the sand as I would like.
Oh yeah the secret beach is really small! You can barely fit anything on it. I've looked at a couple of pictures and they all look the same size to me, but then again everything on my own island always feels smaller to me so I might not be the best judge. Wish there was more space to work around with!

I never really paid much attention to the fact that your secret beach can have different locations. Mines in the center. It would have been nice to have it a bit off center but at the same time I have tier 3 cliffs naturally on both sides of my island and I didn’t want to do any major terraforming in order to put a ramp down to my beach. So in the end center is probably best for my island.
My island is the opposite - the higher cliffs are right in the middle, so if I had my secret beach there I wouldn't be able to see it! If I had another layout though, I would want it in the middle like yours. I love the idea of walking up to the beach with toweing cliffs on both sides!

I think it's fine where it is now (center right). I did have a lot of trouble trying to decide if I wanted access to be from ground level or with a ramp or if I was ok with using a ladder to get down to it anyway. Right now there's a hidden ramp that leads down to it and you would only know that ramp was there if I told you or you looked at my map.

If I could move it I would have it on the far right and incorporate my campsite and have a path hidden behind the cliffs leading to it. There was a glitch a while back where your character could phase through a single block waterfall and I would love if it something like that was real.
A hidden ramp is such a good idea, really goes with the whole secret beach concept! I miss some of the harmless glitches tehy removed, some were really nice and could have been real features.

Mine is mid/right, and it took me a while to figure out how to work with it. It generated behind the cliffs and by the time I figured out that the secret beach was even a thing (and before it had a purpose) it was a bit too late to build an access ramp there or to lower the terrain in front of it.

I ended up digging out a hidden path leading up to it from the upper right corner of my island, over some flat rocks and right onto the beach. I love it that way, makes it feel more hidden and gives me a reason to go to that corner of my island every now and then. :D

That looks awesome! It really feels like a hidden place that way! Mine is just, eh, sitting there, so it's not much of a secret beach.

Mine is exactly centered, and I love it.

I didn't specifically choose my map for it, it might actually surprise me if I did notice the secret beach at island map picking. I know the thing that really stood out to me on this map was the rivers and the way cliffs were structured that made me realize I could easily make a vast part of the island accessible with a few ramps and bridges.

My secret beach is behind a cliff, so I did some terraforming to get enough room for a ramp. I like having everything accessible without having to use vaulting poles or ladders :). The ramp lines up with the left side of my secret beach, because to get it in the middle I would also have had to destroy a bit of third level cliff and I didn't want to do that. But it leaves room for me to decorate the right side a bit, I put up a barrel, a bucket, and a 'wanted' sign :).
I feel the same! Ramps and bridges go a long way to making your island feel like a real place where people would live (unless you're not going for that, which is cool too). I love the idea of putting a wanted sign there 🤣

my secret beach is over to the right, and it’s literally right behind where I made melba her own little hill. it’s really inconveniently placed because I really wanted to put an incline down to the secret beach but I have no room! it bothers me but I do not have the time nor energy to restart right now haha
So cute, it's like Melba has her own private beach! Does she go down there sometimes?

Since I got the game later, I put a lot of consideration into where I wanted the secret beach to be. I wanted it to be either far left or right, NOT centered because I wanted the back levels of my island to be raised yet I didn't want to have to use an incline to access the beach.

I'll throw in an old picture of my map here, my map has changed a lot but the beach access is the same. I just terraformed a little flat walking path to walk to the beach. It works well for me.
Thanks for sharing! Mine is exactly the same except on the opposite side, and I love for the same reasons!

My secret beach is located in square number 2 according to the OP image. Only real issue I have with it at the current moment is the fact that I had built my house on a tier 2 cliff blocking off the secret beach before I even knew what a secret beach even was or the fact that Redd was gonna show up back there. I have yet to move my house so access to the secret beach is a little wonky right now, it’s definitely still accessible but not how I would like it to look or be. I’m pretty sure once I figure out where to relocate my house the location won’t bother me at all, but I did so much terraforming for my house location that it’s gonna take so much work to relocate. Which is why I have been procrastinating to the max. Oh well I’ll have it figured out one day, no rush!
Yeah, Redd's sudden appearance really surprised me, until then I didn't think the private beach had a purpose beside being cool. I always procrastinate for big projects and end up doing them only when I'm tired of looking at an unfinished project!

mine is in the 5th square, and I didn't really mind the placement! Mine is so hidden, it's at the back of my school area so it's behind panels and bookshelves. In hindsight I would've wanted a more visible secret beach, but it also gave me a really fun way of decorating the school area and the walkway leading towards it. I haven't decorated the secret beach yet, but I was hoping to put a well and some flowers and seats to make it look like a secret area behind the school premises where the villagers can chill after class.
That seems great! I have a school area in my town too, but my students don't get the luxury of a private beach 😅 That would be so awesome in real life!

that's 6/6 i've answered no to but i've spent way too much time to restart my island now 😭
mine is in the exact center and i wish it was to either the far left or far right... the back of my island is all cliffs so i had to awkwardly dig out a space to put in an incline, i hate it because the cliff obscures your vision and just looks super out of place, the right and left sides however would look so much more natural and able to decorate the area
I get what you mean with the cliffs! They have prevented me from decorating the way I wanted to in certain spots since they block your vision. Sometimes I wish you could rotate the camera freely.

My secret beach is in the middle at the very back I like the position it is in. I have waterfalls that are along side the walls as you walk down.
The only thing that I do not really like about my secret beach is the size to me it feels a bit small. As I do not know how to really decorate it without it looking all crammed in plus I want to be able to walk through to hop on Redds boat.

I love what you can do with waterfalls, it looks gorgeous when you have them all lined up. I agree that there isn't much place for decorating, even more so now that Redd's boat is the picture!

Mine is in the exact center, and other than building out a path behind the cliffs to get to it, I've done nothing with it. It isn't really part of my island. If it were mid-right maybe I could try something with it, but as it is it's just behind a cliff with a main road going parallel to the river. Not much to do there.

it would be so cute if she would go back there and I would take a billion pictures but she hasn’t figured out how to go down there yet, haha. i made it to where you can walk behind the cliffs so the secret beach is kinda hidden. i hope I can see some of my villagers back there someday!

I'm happy with mine c: haven't figured out how to decorate it exactly, but the location is good!

Mine is the exact center and I like it a lot!

Of course, when I first started my island when the game was first released, I had zero idea what a "secret beach" was and couldn't have cared less where it was located. But once Redd was released and it started to matter, I did some terraforming and now the area around my secret beach is one of my favorite spots on my island! I have a little path going to it between some trees and behind a sign (I wanted to make it look like Nook was trying to keep you out of it, knowing some shady stuff was happening there!) and I've got a cute little overlook area right beside it. Whenever Redd's trawler is here, standing on the outlook, it has a fun, rustic sort of pirate-y look that is just so cool.

mine is a little to the left and I like it there. I wouldn't want it near either of the two ends since that would make it too easy to get to (and that wouldn't be a secret beach anymore!) but the center or slightly to the right would have been fine. I made a narrow, hidden valley path that leads to the secret beach, and put decorations behind my cliffs so that it would be inaccessible without using that exact path (even using a ladder). Once I clear the DIYs on my beach and lily of valley starts spawning I'm planning on filling the cliffs bordering the path with them to make the path look more like a valley.
But I actually never got around to decorating it, and then after Redd was introduced I assumed we wouldn't be able to decorate the beach anymore but since we can I guess I'll put some pirate-y furniture there.

Ah! I'm surprised so many like their secret beach in the direct center. I've found it hard to work with, and wish it were to the far-left or far-right so I could tie it into an existing beach design.

Something will come to me eventually!

I think mine is in the center.

I like it where it is, and have a path to it, where a river used to be. :)

mines perfect, wouldn't change. wouldn't change if it weren't, tho, bc i don't care tbh

My secret beach could definitely improve, but it hasn't changed in months. I suppose I should get working on it sooner rather than later!

At first I really didn't care about my secret beach (I think it's on A4) and it was just kind of...there, but recently I did a revamp to my second level and it's been repurposed perfectly into my theme now!
My second island's secret beach is as far to the right as it'll get and it allowed me to cut a secret path behind the cliffs, no ladder required!

Mine is to the far left. I don’t mind it so much, as it doesn’t really impede anything, haha. I learned to work around it. uwu

Mine is dead center, which I especially love since the addition of swimming. It makes it more convenient when diving for deep sea creatures to have a central spot to get back on land.

My secret beach is in the centre and am happy with where it is, I have quite a large section of terraformed areas at the back of the island which hides the secret beach quite well but it can still be accessed either by a small path that runs between the terraformed parts or by an incline hidden next to the beach. It took me a while to get round to decorating it but once Gullivarrr arrived I decided to use some of the pirate themed items on it, placing a couple of pirate barrels and pirate chest on the beach and a ship cannon on one of the rocks just to the side so it looks more suitable for a dodgy character to visit now.
