Are you multilingual?

only english sadly, i did learn french and spanish during school and got pretty good at them (particularly spanish) but haven’t used them in a long time so not sure how much i remember. would love to learn another language though, always really impressed by anyone that knows more then one, so maybe i’ll try again at some point - either taking spanish back up or learning german as that’s always interested me.

I really only speak English, but I kind of know Spanish since I have to take it at school. I wouldn’t say I’m fluent at it, but I’m definitely better at it than almost everyone in my grade.

I'm a fluent English speaker, but I can also speak French pretty well! I don't tend to use it much nowadays, and I'm not super confident in my speaking skills anyways. I'm much more well-versed in comprehension, but it can only get me so far.

Nope. But I'm currently trying to learn Japanese through duolingo lmfao.

Unfortunately, I only know English. I could've had Spanish too, but I kinda dropped it once I had sufficient credits in it to meet requirements, which I regret.

I would like to learn some more languages but I haven't really put forth the effort thus far. Probably ought to.

Technically yes, I speak English fluently but also know French, although I haven't used it in a long time I feel like I've lost a lot of it. I do think I understand it well enough, some things kinda take me a while, but I haven't spoke it in so long either I don't think id be able to do it fluently

i know english (native language) and i know spanish to an extent. i grew up with spanish in my household but i would always reply back in english so i’m a lot better at understanding what is being said in spanish than speaking it myself if that makes sense. i know 90% of what is being said to me but i can only reply back in broken spanish.

i tried to learn french for about a year (duolingo) but i only know basic words.

I really only know English, but I can translate a lot of written Spanish easily. However, my conversational Spanish is terrible, lmao.

not really unfortunately. i took german for five years and got pretty good at it, but then i stopped learning it at uni and i've forgotten a lot of it now. i keep meaning to get back into it because i really wish i was fluent in it!

As a Filipino, I am bilingual. Aside from our mother tongue, English is also major language spoken here. It has also become a habit for us to mix both languages in a conversation.

English is my native language, and while I’m certainly not ultra fluent, I have been studying Spanish for almost 4 years now (as like the third separate time in my life I’ve tried to learn it but the first it feels like it’s actually working) and I can hold some conversation in it. And then some topic I don’t know words for comes up and I’m like yeah I have no idea what’s being said 😂 I’m sad tho cuz with the series of online classes I’ve been taking, there was only one session available for this fall, and it filled up before I could sign up, so now I’m not taking a class this fall like I thought I would, so it’s been several months since I last actually spoke it out loud much and I don’t know when my next opportunity will be. I do still try to keep studying independently, but it’s not the same as actually having classes where I can practice speaking with people.

i can speak english and spanish fluently, but only know bits of german at this point (it's been a good while oof).

I really only know english. I was in a french immersion school as a kid, but I had to be pulled out early on because I was struggling too much to learn in french.

Sadly I only can speak English. I really admire anyone who can speak another language fluently. Maybe this is the year to try and learn another language.

Sadly just English! I learned French throughout school, but it definitely needs a lot of work.

At the moment just English. During school I took both French and Spanish and was really good at both languages and really enjoyed them, and I honestly would like to go back to Spanish one day as I loved it, and go to a lot of Spanish places on holiday.

I think as native English speakers we take a lot for granted, when visiting other countries so many people also speaking English as well as their own native language, signs and information are often in English, along with menus and directions etc. we’re too used to it now I think.

technically yes, but i wouldn’t say fully fluent in my second language. i know enough to get by and understand a lot more than what i’m able to express. i easily get tripped up when conjugating verbs and what not 😆

English is the only one I can converse in at the moment. I used to be better at Japanese but I'm relearning it at the moment. I'm also learning Spanish on the side. I wanted to learn Brazilian Portuguese but I feel like I'll have trouble with the pronunciation (especially the nasal sounds, like pão, amanhã, exceção, etc.) so I decided to start with Spanish first.

Also wanted to learn Mandarin at some point, but honestly that's a whole beast I'm not ready yet. Maybe years from now 😵‍💫😭 I feel like the tones will be a challenge for me.
