Are you still happy with...? PART 3: Your native fruit

i have pears and i love them! they're cute and unique - i love that they're the only green fruit and that people seem to hate them so much :'))) a thrill, tbh.

apples are my secondary fruit and that's cute too. they look lovely in this game so, i like having a lot of apples around to sell at higher rates than my native fruit! which i think is really the best situation i think. liking your native and your secondary AND making big bucks.

I've always ended up with apples or cherries in past games, so I was hoping for pears this time around, and that's what I have. Peaches are my secondary, which is fine.

I don't really pick my trees, so they are mainly decoration. I save pears from island tours to eat and sell peaches. I have two mini orchards on either side of my island with all five varieties, and I planted pears at my airport entrance and between the shops. I'm especially looking forward to seeing the pears on the autumn/winter trees.

I have cherries and I like them. The only reason I would consider changing is becuase I like the look of regular apples slightly better, but the main reason I choose cherries is becuase I love how they look when they are a perfect fruit, but perfect fruit is not in the game (yet?) for god knows what reason.

mine’s peaches and i wouldn’t change it! there was a short period of time where i wished for apples, instead, but i’m happy that i went with peaches!

Have pears, hate pears, would love for them not to be my native fruit. Problem is that I didn't want to tempt ACNH fate, so I kept them, along with my hideous blue airport.

My native fruit was apples! I was hoping for cherries or pears but I got apples. I'm fine with apples though! Really hope they bring back perfect fruit

huh interesting, it seems the majority are happy with their fruit with pears being the exception (so far)

i reset for 3 tedious hours for apples because i wanted the sparkly perfect fruit like in new leaf... my day month was ruined and my disappointment was immeasurable when it was confirmed perfect fruit aren't in the game. my favorite non-perfect fruits are cherries and peaches. my third reset was a cherry island with an INCREDIBLE layout, heart shaped pond and cute starter villagers, i'm still regretting resetting it so badly

My island's native fruit are peaches. They're not my favorite fruit in real life, even though they do taste good. My secondary fruit are pears, which I do like in real life. I'm happy with peaches, though. When I started the game, I wanted either peaches, pears, or apples. I'm not tired of seeing peaches on my island or pears on a mystery island. I've done nothing with my native fruit. I just leave it on the trees for the most part and only shake those trees if I need to dig a tree or bush, or break rocks. I don't sell peaches because they're only worth 100 Bells.

I am completely fine with any fruit except pears. I got orange. Still kinda wish the tropical fruits are available. I want mangoes.

I honestly don't have many fruit trees on the island design I have. In my "construction" areas (aka the areas that are just chaotic messes that I haven't bothered to clean up yet, but I call them "construction" areas to make it sound cooler) I have them spread about, but I don't really lay them out in the finished parts of my island. If I put down trees, they're either pine trees, regular hardwood, or money trees for the flex.

TL;DR I don't care enough about fruit trees to regret picking orange trees.

Pears. I like the color green and it's a good neutral fruit I think.

I've planted a few other fruits in different places to accent our island, but I like to show off pears prominently in our more natural spaces.

Peaches are my native fruit, and I don't mind them. It doesn't matter too much since I do have all the fruit in the game, so peaches don't dominate my island even though they are the native one.

Yes, it's wonderful to fangirl over the game with someone as important as a best friend/partner. Mine also lets me make a lot of decisions, so I gave him first dibs at which villagers he'd like to have as permanents. XD

I'm very happy people are enjoying these threads! I wish my husband would play AC more often, but at the same time, he's so bad at decorating it's a good thing he lets me do it (both in real life and in the game)

It'll be all worth it if when we get perfect fruits! The thing about resetting is you can never know if you'll get a better layout. Guessing when to stop is the hardest part.

Poor pears, they don't get much love I agree it would be nice having the tropical fruits back, especially since we live on an actual island this time!

I have cherries as a native fruit and I like them. I don't plant many fruit trees on my island in general though, so it doesn't really matter to me. My favourites in this game are cherries and oranges.

I love my peaches, wouldn't really want any other fruit bc I don't really care for the other fruit except maybe apples.

Isle Xane's native fruit is the apple. It's the same fruit my Wild World village had, but that's the only thing I seem to really like about it. I guess due to the fact I just mentioned, it feels a bit plain. Another thing that bothers me about it is that I was pretty much forced to see the censorship done in New Leaf with the Apple TV—I mean, “Juicy Apple TV”; They should've renamed the other apple series to at least be consistent!

I think I'd I could choose another native fruit, it'd be…maybe the orange or even peaches, but I agree with @Bluebellie; The native fruit distinction is pointless as players can easily replace it then get more bells for every fruit they sell.

Through looking through the game's models, I assumed different fruits resulted in the animals drinking different things, but are there pictures of them holding the various fruit drinks? I'll only ever see Applee on my island.

I mean, your native fruit sells for less. Maybe if someone hates a specific fruit, it should be their native so they have an incentive to plant the others

my native is the orange! if perfect fruit were still a thing in this game I definitely wouldn't have wanted oranges because imo perfect oranges are the ugliest, and I probably would've tried for apples/cherries/peaches, but I'm pretty happy with orange! the juice drinks look super pretty, and besides I only have a few orange trees on my island while the majority are apple and cherry for gifting/aesthetic purposes.
