Are you still happy with...? PART 3: Your native fruit

I started with cherries and still have them! they're definitely one of my fav fruits, with apples and peaches being a close second. at first, I didn't even know that you could restart to get a different fruit I thought everyone got cherries and roses until a friend pointed it out to me aha..

I have oranges and I still love them! Actually, I got rid of all the other fruits after collecting them, so Sunnytop only grows oranges c: I like the bright look, and they compliment my flowers. I've never done this in an animal crossing game before, and it makes my island feel unique to just grow one fruit (aside from the coconut palms on the beach)

I have cherries! I reset about a dozen times to get them (between that and the location of my residential services until I got something that I was happy with). My second fruit that I got from my mom was a pear. Unfortunately, it's also the fruit of my mystery island... I do wish there was a way to obtain all foreign fruit without visiting other players' islands.

I have apples and I'm really happy with them! Honestly the only fruit I didn't want was pears because of the green on green colouring. I have apples as my native fruit in my New Leaf town too so that makes me happy. I really wish we had perfect fruits in this game, though! I love the way that perfect apples look.

Original was pears. And it doesn't matter to me at this point...because, I have all the others anyway.

I have oranges! I'm still happy with them, and I wouldn't change them. I like their design and their flavor and smell irl, it's my favorite fruit out of the 5. I've been obsessed with yellow and orange themes lately. Oranges and lemon trees would look so nice together. I hope they bring back lemons!

I can’t really answer these because I don’t have my original Island. I had to restart so that I could finally have my own Island. But my original fruit was peaches and now I have oranges, but I was/am equally happy with both.

Isle Xane's native fruit is the apple. It's the same fruit my Wild World village had, but that's the only thing I seem to really like about it. I guess due to the fact I just mentioned, it feels a bit plain. Another thing that bothers me about it is that I was pretty much forced to see the censorship done in New Leaf with the Apple TV—I mean, “Juicy Apple TV”; They should've renamed the other apple series to at least be consistent!

I think I'd I could choose another native fruit, it'd be…maybe the orange or even peaches, but I agree with @Bluebellie; The native fruit distinction is pointless as players can easily replace it then get more bells for every fruit they sell.Through looking through the game's models, I assumed different fruits resulted in the animals drinking different things, but are there pictures of them holding the various fruit drinks? I'll only ever see Applee on my island.

I hadn't even noticed the censorship, but you're right! It's so odd they limited it to the TV.

I wasn't able to find pictures of the different juices unfortunately! Mine also only drink cider apple juice

My native fruits are peaches. And I don't mind, as others have said it's easy to get other kinds of fruits. I did get a few peach DIYs for one of the first starter homes, and they look cute as well.

Right now I have a gigantic orchard with all kinds of fruit anyways. I must admit that once I figured out it was much easier to earn money with non-native fruits, I lost interest in my peaches a bit. But there's still a good number of peach trees around on my island, there should be at least 10.

The only downside about having peaches as a native fruit is that the peach collectible on here is sold out, so I can't make a lineup that includes both my native flowers AND my native fruit

It's nice that you still kept some peach trees even though they sell for less! I used to have an orchard in New Leaf and loved it, but native trees were more important back then because of the perfect fruits.

I don’t have a problem with my native fruit which is peaches. What I do have a problem with is lack of variety. Having only six fruits (includes coconuts) really limits your ability to mix things up.

I totally agree! I have no clue why they removed the tropical fruits, especially since we're on an island now!

Wouldn't want anything other than apples. I map reset a lot in the beginning, so I'm happy the map I settled on still had apples as the native fruit. Would have been a heartbreaking 3+ hours otherwise.

The time has finally come on my island for them to shine. I love the way apple trees look during the fall and winter months. Now I just need to build an apple cider/apple picking area and we'll be all set!

They're also my favorite fruit of the ones available.

out of literally every fruit we have in the game, pears are the only ones i'm not fond of. never have been for some reason. and guess which one is my island's native fruit? i honestly don't mind now, because i've been able to obtain all the other fruits via exploring and trading on this forum (you guys are the best, seriously), but when i first started? i wasn't fond of seeing pears literally everywhere. i love green though, so that was an upside to it.

I've had apples every game until NH. This time around, I got cherries, and I don't regret it. I was hoping for either apples or cherries. My friend ended up with apples too, and I like having a different native fruit from my friends.

Happy with apples but tbh it is so easy to get different fruit that I probably gave more “foreign” fruit.

I just restarted, and my original island had apples and my new one has pears.
I personally like pears a lot, but I don't have a favorite. I'm not a huge fan of cherries or peaches though.

When I first picked up NH in March, I reset for cherries solely because I've never had them before in any of the previous titles and was carrying on the accidental tradition of a new fruit every time
(GC=peaches, WW=oranges, CF=apples, NL=pears)
The later perks were a surprise: passport, fruit dialogue, the little drinks, the early DIY recipes (cherry lazy house FTW with default music, though I've bounced him back and forth for his real house already)

My second island was also a deliberate fruit reset for pears, since I really do like them a lot, both in AC and IRL! Shame that they seem to be the most unwanted

(oh, right! sister fruit, which I don't mind one bit: apples for main, oranges for second!)

I have the tulips. I would say they are my favorite of the flowers. I have them around all over my town. I think most of it’s colors look nice. It’s definetly the flower type that I most use.
