Is it possible to participate in Farewell to New Leaf Online without playing ACNL? I haven’t played ACNL in years, and I sold both of my copies.

There will be some activities you can participate in without playing NL, but others that require NL.

oh yay!! i’ve been a little bummed that i wouldn’t be able to participate since i don’t have New Leaf anymore, so i’m really happy that i will be able to participate in some ways after all!! ty for the clarification

Are there any activities in the New Leaf event that require using online? I ask because I won’t be able to sadly.

I’m actually so keen to get back into New Leaf for the next event.

I used to visit the website back in the NL days but I was very young so didn’t join.

I was always kinda sad I never joined and hung out with others during NL so I’m so keen for this event!!!!

I don’t think I’ve opened AC:NL in at least 3 years…but my 3DS is still in working condition! New Leaf was my first ever Animal Crossing game and my most played 3DS game. This will be a nostalgic experience I’m sure...so many memories

I haven't touched my 3DS in 5 years and when I tried to open the case (it's a hard plastic case) it wouldn't budge, like the material has deteriorated or something....thankfully after much prying I managed to get it out, and now it's ready for this event

I have a new leaf town (got it and tomodachi life right before eshop closed), but it's on my other 3ds, which is located in California, so I sadly cannot do the NL event.

Well it took me a while to find a charger for my DS but I got one! I cant seem to find mine, so I swiped my sister's. Haven't touched NL in a while and my town is looking rough, there's also some rooms in my extra houses that I never finished, maybe I'll use this event as an excuse to finish them up and get some closure.
