Can you achieve perfect town status without planting flowers?

Pwps aside, can you plant enough trees and shrubs to have a perfect town as long as all the weeds are pulled, or do you have to plant flowers? I'm asking because recently I took over someone else's town, which now has the bell boom ordinance, and I don't feel like needing to water tons of flowers every day. If you don't have any flowers, try talking to Isabelle at the town hall counter. She'll tell you if the villagers want more greenery.

I'm pretty sure no. I think it's supposed to be a minimum of 75 flowers and something like 110 (no more than 200) trees.

I'm basing this off of what I've read online over the years since the game's release, so take this with a grain of salt.

I believe some flowers are required.
I don't think I have ever seen any towns that has perfect status without any flowers.

110 tree how do you even fit that it without them withering... But yeah I guess you need flowers. Idk if I ever got golden watering can or such but sure people tell me I need more greenery so that's it

Well it goes by trees/shrubs/bamboo, and I have over that amount with no problem in my finished town.

Oh, I was thinking something along these lines since just *trees* alone sounded a bit wtf...

Yeah, sorry I wasn't more clear on that...whoops, lol. Basically anything that can be planted and grown counts, as far as I can tell from what I've read and my own experiments in my towns.

Yeah, I have loads of greenery around.. flowers, trees, bamboo etc. so I was wait what there xD Thanks though!

no. you have to have a specific amount of flowers (i think around 50??) to get a perfect town c:
