Do you prefer soda in cans, bottle, or tap? I prefer cans for overall taste and size. You get less for your money honestly but if it is possible, I really only drink out of a can.

I also prefer the smaller size that you get with a can. I like my drinks to be cold and fresh, and I am able to finish a can quickly and in one sitting. Cans just make more sense to me.

I never get tap soda unless I absolutely need to, like at Taco Bell or another fast-food place. If a can isn’t available, I’ll choose a bottle. What is your preference when drinking soda?

Cans more often than not. I’ve had soda for so long that I can tell the difference in taste between cans and tap, and tap can definitely taste bad at some places.

I don't really have a preference. I kinda just get what pop I'm able to get and don't really care what "form" it comes in otherwise. Usually getting pop from the fountain (or tap) is easiest from fast food places or restaurants, and 99% of the time tastes correct. From stores I'm okay with getting pop in either cans or bottles, it usually just comes down to whatever makes more sense to get at that time.

can's. they just have that satisfying opening noise, they taste better (idk why, I think I like the smell of metal).

I don’t drink a lot of pop because I’m a baby and don’t like the fizz but when I do I prefer to drink it out of a glass. When we buy it my dad either gets the pack of cans or a bigger bottle and then I always pour it into a glass or mug because I like it better in there 🤷‍♀️

I don't drink soda too often anymore but when I do I prefer cans or tap, it tastes better those ways than in plastic bottles to me.

Typically I prefer it in cans, but I rarely drink it at all. Sometimes I'll have tap if I'm at a restaurant though as I don't really drink much else from those places and I don't typically like town/city water. I don't get fast food much thankfully as tap from those places is the worst.

Cans is how I usually drink soda, since thats how I buy them from the store. But if I had the option, I'd take it from the tap because fresher taste.

Mexican coke in glass bottles are top tier tho.

I don't like to drink sodas but if I were to get a drink such as iced tea or juice or anything really, I prefer bottle. I often will take small sips throughout the day, rather than drink in one sitting, so being able to reseal it is important to me. However, if I'm planning on finishing it with a meal or something, I don't mind either way.

i drink lucozade (which is in a bottle) more than i drink fizzy, but i don't care any which way with it. if i get fanta, that usually comes in cans. if i get this other fizzy drink i've been into lately, i get it bottled because they're smaller bottles and a lot cheaper than the cans. i would never buy the big bottles for myself because it would go flat way before i could ever drink it all, and that would be a waste. if i'm understanding "tapped" correctly, the only tapped drink i ever get is fanta from mcdonalds, and i like it just as much as the regular canned/bottled fanta, even if it tastes a bit different, so. (most other fast-food places here, when delivering, will just give you the canned equivalent of their drinks for obvious reasons.)

I really like diet-sodas in the small bottle form because it's just so much easier to carry around. I also don't like getting the large ones because they go flat so quickly!! Even if they are a better deal it's just not really worth it. I will also drink out of cans though, I just don't get them often enough to buy a pack.

I avoid taps like the plague because I can't tell if they've actually been cleaned and those things can get mad-nasty if you don't have someone cleaning regularly.

I agree that cans are the best, I like the portion that it comes in and that you can finish it before it goes flat. I will buy large bottles for sharing if I'm having people over or something but if it's just for myself for an occasional treat I always buy cans. Others have mentioned glass bottles but I actually don't really like the feeling of drinking out of glass bottles very much.

As for soda on tap.. in most cases it's just okay. The one exception to this is that I do actually really like those fancy pop machines where you can pick all the flavours and mix things together. I know the Coca-cola one is called the "freestyle" machine but Pepsi also makes their own version of this kind of machine as well. I always get some sort of flavoured ginger-ale which is a real treat :)

a glass bottle is superior to everything, plastic bottle however is horrible & i'd avoid at all costs

honestly thought this thread was about water when i first saw it but its pop

i think it depends on the drink, fanta i think tastes better from a tap than from a bottle or can but for the most part cans are usually best

Bottle for me! But then again, I don't drink much pop as I don't like the fizziness. Bottles are helpful cause they have lids.

I haven't consumed soda for over a decade now, but when I did, they were typically cans. Once in a while I would get it in a bottle from a vending machine or something, or the family would get one of those big bottles to share, and sometimes if I was at a restaurant and there was a tap I would use it. I don't know that I necessarily had a preference one way or the other in terms of flavor when it comes to the container.

glass bottle if buying individually from a store bc it tastes the best, but i chose tap bc its more sustainable. saw online the other day that coca cola used to have a delivery truck with glass bottles where youd pay an extra deposit for the bottle that you could get back once you return the empty bottle to the truck next delivery round. its a super cool idea that i wish was more popular. there were glass jugs of milk at this grocery store i used to work at that also used a deposit/bottle return system, but i dont think ive seen it elsewhere

i dont drink much soda tbh except as a mixer sometimes

i'll drink it in whatever form is available at the time, but i think if i were to choose one i like glass bottles the most - things just taste better out of them. after that i'd probably go for cans, then plastic bottles (convenient but i always feel bad buying them) and then tap (nothing against it honestly, it's just my least drunk version of fizzy drinks)

I think bottles taste better but cans are usually bought in my household. Sometimes a can is too much for me and I would much rather pour some out from a bottle. Taps can have inaccurate taste depending on how well maintained the machine is or the syrup for the machine is old. I dislike the freestyle machines because you're dispensing a number of flavors and different types of beverages from one nozzle. My previous job had an issue where the cherry syrup would leak out occasionally.
