It's more of a process of elimination thing. Tessa I think I've articulated concrete points for in previous posts as to why I town-lean her. With Dolby, though, it's more just, despite being relatively active, he's drawn my maf-sussness the least relative to everyone else. He's the only one who's volunteered potentially informative info for townies as well at this point

This game doesn't feel like a game where mafia will come out guns blazing and try to take the reigns, I very much get the vibe it's gonna be one where they try to play relatively quietly so they don't get caught out saying or doing the wrong the wrong thing
 
Oh, I was strictly asking about Dolby, I think we mostly town lean Tessa afterall...oh gosh can you imagine if Tessa is just sitting there laughing at us because she is in fact mafia who's fooled us all?

and okay, I really get the exact opposite feelings than you do. If someone has a power that can significantly help town, don't they usually try to not draw attention to themselves? If he wasn't so pushy about that power up I wouldn't be nearly as suspicious about him, but now I'm like, even if he is not mafia I genuinely don't believe he is town either (is a third alliance even a thing? not knowing the roles is really making things so much harder)

Was really just thinking back to baby park where townies were setup to really benefit from being able to coordinate and plan powers around one-another, I do get your stance though ye. My thinking is: winning the power paints enough a target on his back already, so, if anything, we're only controlling the mafia's first kill (and if he doesn't die, then we think abt that tomorrow).

Actually, @Biancasbotique, if you win an item vote, can you use it same-night?

Yes I think you did. Currently everyone is split minus two on dolby and i'd prefer it goes to someone else so if you want to create a tie that might be beneficial🤭

I highly doubt the existence of a third alliance in this setup but that would be wild

See- this is what I mentioned earlier. How is the person who wins the item even going to be able to use it....unless it's immediate use, or they get some protection?

If I may ask, what case-scenarios are you considering where it really is that detrimental for dolby to receive the power?
for me it's:
He's the biggest target for the maf rn having a disclosed power, and will be a bigger target after winning the item.
He either gets killed by the mafia for those reasons
Or lives and has to prove to us just how he lived, his townie status, and how he's useful.
If he can't secure a guaranteed mafia vote-out that night, then the jig is up for him.

There's ofc the ish of mafia ppl having their own powers, but those are my first thoughts (feel free to add on or contradict them though)

Imagine this game devolves into: mafias always kill item-winners
so we either force kills by planting items, or simply start no-voting items each night since the mafs would be the only one to make use of them :p
 
what makes you think dolby has a disclosed power? isn't it in towns best interest to not mention those things explicitly and rather take notes on them separately?

besides, concentrating our two "powers" on to one person is a bigger advantage for mafia because they can't kill 2 a night but they can kill 1. i'd hope we could at least get some info if in fact dolby has a pr because then at least something will be used.

i don't think dolby will be killed tomorrow night simply because he is a suspicion of quite a few of us and not confirmed town. i think maf!dolby is entirely plausible.

I'm thinking in order for the item to be useful, it would have to keep the person safe... could be interesting to see what dolby does...

Gah, I'm sorry I did. Well then for now I'm switching my vote because I am very not on the dolby power train. If anyone else is going to vote Tessa though I will vote back,

Dolby did mention they had a power, I think, but not what it was.

My thinking back when I mentioned giving it to dolby was- in order to be able to use it, he'd need to be safe. If the item keeps the holder safe in order to use it, and dolby is claiming some sort if advantage/ possibly pr, then it would be better if he had the item.

If he's maf, it'll be found out/obvious tomorrow (hopefully) and he could get booted then.
