For mine, I baked a recipe for very hard biscuits. They are the same type, recipe, and ingredients that were given out to soldiers during the Civil War. During Christmas in the war, when both armies were stationed far from the grueling battles, these would be rationed to all and would be enjoyed with a cup of coffee.
You don't want to eat them dry otherwise you might break a tooth! They are best soaked in coffee. It helps to soften and also sweeten them. So, if Santa has you on his naughty list, give him a treat he will never forget. His dentist bill will never be higher and you won't be back on the nice list.
7 biscuits are in this picture. 5 are covered with vanilla icing, raisins as the mouth/eyes, a carrot for the nose, and 1 grape cut in half for the rosy cheeks. I tweaked the recipe slightly from the original so that its more loosely based off of a sugar cookie.
In the spoiler is proof of the biscuits I made. Take a look at their amateurish shapes. They're saying 'Why did you do it? What would possess you? Were you born with a cold heart, or did you chill the warmth from it in some merciless deep freeze?
