Chops????

I don't understand why so many people absolutely loathe Chops?? like I really don't know if I've ever met someone who actually likes him and I just can't believe it.

I think he's great! what is there to dislike? he's a stately and dignified individual if he ever decided to live in my town I would be perfectly fine with that!

I had Chops in my all-pig town in New Leaf.I thought he was just okay at first but I wound up liking him a lot.He popped up in one of my campsites in New Horizons and I seriously thought about moving him in.

I actually don't really have very strong feelings either way on him. He's not nearly as horrid as other villagers of the same design style(looking at you Hippeux and Klaus >>) but that being said, I wouldn't let him live on my island.
I will say the light olive green is an interesting choice for a body color and may be part of what makes him so divisive.

You know what's funny the longer I look at him, he has the same eyebrow shape like a lot of the girls I see in ACNH have on their faces, hahaha.

I think his design is quite good. You know what he's supposed to resemble or be affiliated with. The only thumbs down I'd give is his eyes and maybe his hairstyle (though I think he does need hair than none). His eyes feel dead or too human and if they were dots or something with a comedic value would up the score for me. Chops unfortunately can't live on my island because he'd arrest everyone.

I have him on my island, and he's kinda good. I kinda dislike him because of his looks, but hey. not all villagers are created equal!

Meh he's just another Smug villager that talks the same as others so he's not really a bother to me. I find him "okay" but its not a villager I would want on my island.

He's alright. I wouldn't have an issue with him if he plopped down his house on any of my future AC games.

i'm currently looking for Chops to move into my island i had him on my new leaf town and he was a hoot. his house in NL was really fun.

I'm just not a fan of pig villagers in general. Maggie is cute(but kinda boring compared to other normals I like). That's about it for me.

I quite like Chops. I had him for a time in one of my New Leaf towns, a hybrid circus and magic show town, and only replaced him because of the villager limit and because my main player character filled what would've been his role as ringmaster (which I mean, come on, he had to be with that Red Ringmaster Coat). He has a nice look with the hairdo, eyes and mustache. He's got the Smug personality which is good by me, and Smug was my favorite male personality in New Leaf, though I don't like it as much in New Horizons and it has been replaced with Cranky. That doesn't really matter too much to me in this instance though since I don't have him as a resident in New Horizons anyhow. I also think the Pig species of villagers is pretty strong and has a number of great designs; Chops isn't my favorite among them but he's one of the best.

Solid villager overall for me. Voted "Of course!" in the poll.

I don’t have an issue with him. He just doesn’t fit my island theme. I go for certain themes and I don’t think he’d fit any of them.

His design is very fitting of a smug; I also think the fact he's a pig makes the match even funnier lol
Overall I don't mind him!

He was my first camper/smug. I always have a soft spot for my starting villagers. His picture is framed in gold, hanging in my den.

eh, not a huge fan. he showed up at my campsite, but then again, i never take campsite villagers bc i love (almost) all my villagers

His royal appearance is a nice change for design choices. He'd go well with an old-timey theme. Like a castle ect. I'm indifferent on him. I don't dislike him, but also don't overly like him either.

That could change if he were to just randomly come to my town. I had Hazel be a random move in when I played New Leaf. At first, I didn't care for her, but she grew on me.

I haven't had him on my island, but I think Chops is pretty cute! I think all of the pigs are quite adorable.
