Spoiler: Explanation

Instead of the mythical creature the Kelpie, i went with one of my favourite dog breeds, Australian kelpie! Still made it swampy.

Edit to add: made it in bit of a hurry, I had whole day free yesterday to do this but my tablet pen broke just made this today, and its not as finished as I wished it was but next few days I won't have time.

So when I saw my prompt, “Stubborn Kelpie”, I thought of a James Dean type Kelpie with a cigarette and a leather jacket.

Removing the cigarette, just went with a verbal queue please forgive the drawing of my spirit horse, he’s having a rough day…

I got the Lumpy Snake which made me think of a tsuchinoko which is a short stubby snake with a ball like middle and tapered tail. I drew a snake with a lumby body.
