I don't think I have a favorite "welcome back".. I wish the villagers would pretend I haven't been gone, for some reason I just can't stand when all 10 of them have to make a comment on my absence

It is kinda interesting though when it's been a REALLY long time and they tell you how many months you've been gone

I’ve seen the month thing…it looks funny but I don’t know if I’ll *willingly* try it.

It’s funny how these cute lil villagers rope you into playing more, even if it does get repetitive after a while lol.

I can't really remember what my villagers have said to me upon my return to the game (something about seeing a ghost maybe?), but I do always feel so guilty when the villagers tell me how long it's been since they last saw me. Though I have to say, worse than any guilt from my villagers is returning to squish cockroaches.

I love how one of my normal personality villagers will say something like “it’s great to see the world, but always remember to check in on your friends!” It’s funny how the game gets you to play it more. Whoever wrote the dialogue deserves an award for multiple reasons…but that’s definitely an important one.

For some reason, I feel like they say that you've been gone way more often than in previous games. Sometimes it's only been for under a week and they act like I left for months. It's kinda annoying, really.

Meh I don't really like when they say that. As soon as they say they miss me they go back into talking the same stuff I heard so many times before. The villagers in this game are so redundant of what they're saying and it just feels as though when you talk to them all the same questions and topics are repeated. Hence the reason why I only talk to them only to give them gifts so I can get their photo. I am so over the dialgoue at this point.

My most memorable one was when I didnt play for half a year, and my Wolf told me, that he heard I gave them the slip, that I had run off from the island as a roughien to rebel, managed to escape and then came back. Then told me I had guts but to keep that between us and not around the island, then told me to try and be good.

Yeah that bit really sounds weird. Like one of those ex's that haven't moved on.

I think they also comment when you've been gone or haven't talked to them in 3 days. I feel like the date where they can initiate those lines is too short. So it also feels weird from this end.

I don't really recall the most memorable "where have you been" message but I do like it when I see my villagers near my house when I log on after a really long time. I live in the way backside of the island on a hill and Jambette said she feels to need to check in on me sometimes (or something to that effect) and I thought it was cute. Like she dropped by the house to see if I was okay.
