Did You Reset for Something?

For those who already played the game, did you reset for something? Map? Fruit? Airport color? Starting villagers? Or did you just roll with what you got? If you reset, how many times did it take you to find your perfect island?

Before getting the game I wanted to reset for airport color but after starting the game for the third time I just wanted to play.
If it wasn't pears I'd just roll with it

When I reset, I noticed the maps given were different but not a lot.
I didn't spend much time looking at the differences though, so the maps may vary more than I observed.
I decided on what good enough was for me (plenty of space in the south of the island and a small pond) and picked an option that was like it.

I plan to reset for apples, and to make sure I have villagers I don't hate to start out with. I'm not picky about maps, but I do have some preferences that I hope to get.

I may reset to also get pretty villagers , but i guess it could be hard to get villagers i like and peaches at the same time.

I might reset for peaches or cherries because when I got my 3ds I jumped in and ended up HATING my pears even tho the map was perfect and ended up resetting a year into it :|

i'm not going to be resetting, i don't think. i have pretty bad ocd & if i start down that rabbit hole, i won't get to enjoy the game. i never really got far into new leaf because i reset pretty much every few weeks for the past 8 years haha. none of my towns ever really got older than 2 months before i reset them.

I plan on resseting until I get cherries or peaches or apples. I don't care about villagers, they will move out eventually. I'll be picky about the location of resident service thought.
