Nah, I only care about the villager themselves
I have a forest-themed town, but I have tons of houses that don't fit that at all lol

I never cared for the houses, only about the villager themselves. Although I have to admit, some of my favorites have houses which I find personally weird looking or ugly, but I just accept it since I wouldn't start to dislike them over this.

I probably care too much about the inside of their homes. I don't deliver any gifts to keep them original. I also had Mira as a dreamie but I couldn't get past her house so I had to let her go.

I mostly care about the interior because I like visiting them at home. I've only ever moved one villager out because of the look of the house though. That was Gala. She was such a little cutie in my campsite tent then I moved her in and it was like she was a gangsta living inside a bank vault or jail or something. So weird. I was not a fan and moved her out. Too bad because she really was a cutie. It may not have bothered me if her house seemed to match her. But the whole aesthetic was just weird to me.

I don't really care but also I kinda do?

The look of the villagers house doesn't play a HUGE role in my decision making in-game, but it does bug me sometimes. I had Sylvana in my campsite recently and was super happy to invite her over, but to me, the cherry blossom theme doesn't suit her aesthetic at all (and also doesn't make for that pretty of a home when every single item from the set and nothing else is displayed....)

The other way around, when I'm island hoping and considering villagers, I'll have a look at them, chat a bit, and then look up their house. If the exterior is really unappealing or (most likely) if I really dislike the interior and wasn't too sure about the villager in the first place, I don't invite them to move in.

But ultimately it's not that big of a deal to me... That being said, I am EXTREMELY glad I got Flora as one of my starters because I adore her and having to visit her in that sad, barren, tiny little flamingo pond would be a drag for sure.

I care about my villagers interior mostly but I give a pass to Chief. I like to visit him the most because his house is very questionable lmao. The exterior I think I like to have one main theme going on but I might make seperate sections based on their natural habitat

I don't care about interiors, but I do about exteriors. I like to match flower colors and trees/shrubs/decorations.

The Koko Bay Homeowners Association (KBHA) is very strict about form and color. Got an ugly house? Get back on the plane pal...

Maybe the exterior of the houses and mostly because there's a design I find to be really dull. It's just too clean for what my island is supposed to be.

Pretty much, I'm okay with any interiors even if they're strange at times. I like weird houses; it makes it more fun. Like the whole cute set in a villager's house is so boring.

I’m honestly surprised by how many people don’t care what their houses look like. It seems like a lot of people (on Facebook communities anyway) prefer ungifted villagers.

I gift villagers some very questionable outfits as well, and it doesn’t really bother me.

The interiors to me are linked with how i perceive their personalities.. so the interior is important to me. The exterior is interesting too in that its nice to have something that fits the area around it, but its not a deal breaker at all if its "bad".
I almost chose villagers based on the interior, like Daisys cute bedroom, Blaires flower room or the laundromat that Eunice has..

Interiors are cute and all, but I do find exteriors rather important. The only time they dont matter is when the villager themself is PERFECT for my town (appearance wise or personality), though.most of the time perfect jungle villagers have good exteriors!

I thought a majority of ppl preferred ungifted? I like to be surprised by weird outfits but sometimes I want a villager that is changed by my decisions only :D

Sure, it's nice if the exterior matches the aesthetic, but the villager is what I'm after. I also don't care much about the interior since I tend to give my villagers random stuff and a lot of clothes (which they display anyway).

I am still hoping that there would be an option to reset the villagers furniture someday though.

I care about both but i chose to have a bird only town so i chose not to care about exteriors. Im happy phoebe was one of my starters because i didnt like her interior looking so hostile lol
If i redid my town id probably care more about exteriors than interiors, i feel like most interiors look kind of the same anyway

Think mostly the problem is that they really don't like gifted villagers. My friend explained this well to me that sometimes when you give a villager like a furniture, bug or fish they tend to put it inside their home which sometimes can mess up their interior. Even worse if you let your plot autofill you might get a villager from someone else's island that has been gifted. So I am one of those people who take issue with gifted villagers.

I really want the interior to be original and not so cluttered or messed up with gifts. Thats just how I see it.

I don’t care about villager houses. It wouldn’t be fun for me to choose the details or design the interiors or exteriors myself... all the unique houses make the villagers feel like individuals with their own personalities! I also love to give my villagers silly gifts for them to display in their houses.

I don’t really mind at all on how the house looks I get a bit annoyed when they look the same as the one next to it or right near it as I want them to all look different not the same. But I have been starting to decorate the front yards now depending on each villagers personalities and interests :)

Not really. I was never really bothered with the simplistic interiors of my two starter villagers in the first place.
