Lol, just kidding. Nah, I don't really collect anything nowadays. I try to keep my space as minimalistic as possible while also not looking barebones. I used to collect books though when I was an avid reader.
Ethically sourced taxidermy insects (I don’t have many because they are mad expensive), keychains (really slowed down on that cuz I don’t have anywhere to put them all), Pokémon plushies, some video game/anime figures, and I now have a small collection of vintage Poter wind-up clown dolls because I found one in a thrift store and became obsessed with them for awhile.
it’s apparently been over 2 years since i posted in here, so i wanted to give a little update on my collections and go more into depth about them!
i’m not currently actively collecting anything, but i am a casual collector of phone cases, squishmallows, tokidoki figurines, magnets, and amiibo cards!
my current biggest collection is my animal crossing amiibo cards collection, though it’s nowhere near complete—i currently have 144/509 cards, with my series 5 collection being the largest at 37/48 cards! i missed out on getting any amiibos when they first released, so i’m happy that nintendo restocked them last year and that i was finally able to get some!! i‘d love to buy more in the future (wa cards restock when? ), but i’d also love to get a folder to store them in eventually, since right now my cards are all in ziplock bags lol
my second biggest collections are my squishmallow and phone case collections! i currently have 11 big, 3 medium, and 1 small squishmallows (15 in total), and 15 phone cases! i used to have a few more squishmallows, but i donated them to make space on my bed and in my room i’ve been trying to resist buying any more as of late since i really don’t have the space for them, but sometimes i see one that i just need to have… it’s crazy how cute they are i also used to have more phone cases for my old phone, but i got rid of them since they don’t fit my current phone
my magnet and tokidoki figurine collections are on the smaller side, but i still love them just the same! i currently have 10 magnets, but my collection always gets a little bit bigger every time that i go to hot topic my tokidoki figurine collection is at 5— i don’t get to add to this collection very often as they’re quite expensive (rightfully so, with how detailed and gorgeous they are), but i love the 5 figurines that i have!
i also have a funko pop collection (currently at 10), but i don’t really consider myself a collector of them since i don’t buy them all that often, and i only get ones of my absolute favourite characters haha. finding out that generation 2-style littlest pet shops are returning next year is tempting me to start collecting those again as well LOL, but i’m trying to resist
though there’s a rumour that there’s going to be an axolotl one... if there is it’s over for me fr
I've had a lot of different collections over the years: rocks, shells, buttons, stamps, etc. However the one's I still collect are:
- Pokemon cards: been passively collecting since I was about 6? I order them by pokedex number and am trying to get one of each pokemon gens 1-7, along with any I like the art of.
- Pokemon plushes: Again passive, but I have over 30 by now, not sure the exact amount. I probably need to go through and get rid of some tbh, but I would love to add a couple more ghosties to my collection!
- Video games: I guess would count. I only get games I'm interested in playing, but I do try to buy as much as I can physically so I can display my collection! In total I think I have about 115 physical copies of games across consoles? I just think they're cool to look at, and the art, guidebooks and covers are really neat.
mainly anime, manga, video games and also anime figs too and i have a good amount of stuff from japan you'd be surprised how much cheaper it is there than it is over here in the west

Intentional collections: Animal Crossing Amiibo cards, Pokemon cards, my video game cases, and my diaries.
Unintentional collections: Washi tape/stickers (they are often sold in bulk, so it adds up if I don’t show restraint.)
Sewing fabric and notions. Again, they are easy to accumulate due to left over scraps. Plus, my mom tends to give me whatever stuff she sees lying around. A ribbon from last year’s present or some buttons that she found on the floor.
