Lionel is my least favorite villager currently in my NH village. I think I would like him more if he wasn't smug, but maybe some non-existent elder-statesman/gentleman type. I feel like maybe the voice doesn't jive with his appearance.
I think I had Graham in my first play of NL, and I thought for sure there was a bookworm type and that he fell into that category. Same for Derwin.
Idk, I really love O'Hare the way he is. The smug personality is my favorite. I wonder how I'd feel about him if he was a cranky, like in the GameCube ver? Interesting to think about
Yes, of course. There are certain designs I like better than others but those villagers may have a personality type that bores me. I think Stitches and Punchy are cute but I don't care about lazy villager types.

Rodney would be a better lazy villager honestly in general I feel like hed be less hated if he wasn't giving off such a weird grin like that if he wasn't smug!
Ribbot. I really like his design but his personality doesn't make any sense. He is a robot frog but he is a jock villager and is talking about his muscles and workout routine. Since when do robots sweat? Is he leaking oil? I don't know what type I would give him. Maybe smug?
Gayle. I wish she was peppy so bad! Normal villagers are fine but there's too many that I like so having 4 normies in town makes the dialogue a little stale. Still love her tho.
The personality type you made up for Lionel sounds great! It’s a perfect balance between smug and cranky.
I’d definitely prefer Marcie as a sisterly villager. And Rowan’s personality change weirds me out... not only does he look like a cranky villager, but he essentially went from “old man” to “young boy”.
