Do you ever get inspiration from other people islands?

Yes, I get inspiration from other players' islands. Firstly for the pleasure of the eyes. There are people with incredible ideas! I really admire them. And because I don't really have any inspiration. I know where I want to direct my island but I won't get there without spending my time on tumblr or pinterest to name just these two sites. I visited an amazing island one day called Moondrop, I don't know if it still exists, but wow.

Yes, I do get inspiration from other people's islands too! Terraforming can be a bit challenging for me as well, so I often watch speed builds and tours to get ideas for my own island. It's amazing how creative and talented the Animal Crossing community is, and it's a great way to learn new techniques and design concepts for my own island.

Not really, no. I never use the Dream Suite so I don't routinely see other people's islands, and the only people whose islands I visit are people who sell items here in the Nook's Cranny section of the forums here. I just kind of do my own thing with my island. It also doesn't help that I prefer a more natural island, whereas a lot of people use paths and streets and such, so I don't even know what sort of inspiration I'd get. There probably are some islands out there more up my alley, but I don't go out of my way to seek them out.

I mostly did my own thing with each area.

But I got a ton of inspiration from this one Disney themed Island, in terms of layout. that a YouTuber did a tour of.

Other then that its my own little mess.

No. I prefer to do things my own way. I hate having to copy other people and I am also sticking with a style that I enjoy that is for me.

I definitely do, especially for interior decoration as I'm HORRIBLE at it 😭
If it were entirely based on my ideas alone it'd just be basic furniture like beds and closets in all 4 corners and a big empty space in the middle taunting me 😭💀

I’ve been getting better at decorating interiors by myself, though sometimes I do look up inspiration pictures on Pinterest just to see how creative people can get. Many have used custom designs in their work, and I do so occasionally as well, though I’m very limited on space due to me using a bunch of designs outside.

Speaking of outdoors, I tend to follow said Pinterest pictures quite a bit when it comes to that. On my backup island, Parkwood, the shops & museum layout is heavily based on someone else’s Pinterest idea. I’ve tried to replicate that layout myself to the best of my ability, and I think I did a decent job.

There’s other ideas I want to try myself, though I gotta figure out how to flow an area to others properly. That will take quite a bit of time and thinking; maybe during my next extended time off period from work I’ll piece it all together.

Oh yes. The ideas for doing a rock garden were very interesting and helpful for me to fix up my rocks.

Constantly, i usually i go island dreaming a couple of times a week and see what people do. Although in my island i can currently only do decorative changes now since the main layout is already done and i am happy with it 😊

I take it back sometimes whenever I am struggling with ideas, but I try my best not to make it a carbon copy.
