do you have a nickname?

Real name is Catherine which l go by and not first name, and online people will just call me Kat, Cathy, or Cat but some will say Katherine with a K xD And yes started with an online friend
Now irl is Mr. Persona which started by my brother 3 n half years ago because I liked playing as Joker too much in smash and l like the Persona games...then it became the online name and that's what l'm known as on discord and on games even though l'm a girl. Second irl nickname is Hunter Ashley or Ash-Ashley because in monster hunter l have two hunters and l always name them Ash and Ashley in every monster hunter game and yes mine brother started that 3 years ago.

Yep, I have one, is just a shorter version of my real name; hardly anyone in this darn state even bothers TRYING to say my actual name right, and then they EXPECT ME to RESPOND to it, when it's clearly NOT MY NAME. You wouldn't believe how many teachers got snippy with me about it throughout my school years... (I got in trouble in FREAKING KINDERGARTEN--5-year-old-me didn't hear my name called, so I went about my business, and then the teachers' assistant got angry at me! I still remember! )

...and then, even still, some don't even bother getting the nickname right... :cautious:

I'll answer to Marzipan, though, since one of my friends started calling me that in high school, and it kinda stuck. That's actually why it's part of my username.

My mum, granny, and aunt calls me pumpkin or pumpkin eater(lmao). The rest of the family calls me something else that I’m not going to say since it’s less cute.

Barbot, Jojo(ra), Hermie, Weepy, Marilyn, Bulborb, the T-shirt person, and tons more, too :p but most commonly, people call me Mars, which is an abbreviation of my first name, Marcia.

I usually just go by "Sam". It's short for Samantha, which I really don't like. Sometimes my coworkers joke with me and say my full name but that doesn't bother me. I remember only getting my full name used as a kid when I was in trouble.

My parents have called me "Poosie" since I was a baby. Not sure how it started, but it's a family nickname that's followed me into adulthood.

Also Sam-I-Am is a fun one :') people have asked me if I ever like being called Sammy and that is a firm no lol
Also get called a lil strawberry, strawb, "a wild Sim has appeared", Sim Sam, and many more that my husband has too much fun with ❤️🎈

I just remembered one I had as a little kid: blue jay. I’ve always loved the color blue and I was a bit of an energetic kid so my dad called me that. That might be why blue jays are my favorite bird and one of my favorite animals.

Simona -- it's technically a nickname now because that's not my real name, but it will be one day. :') It was the second name my mom wanted to name me and personally, it just resonates a lot more with me.

I also used to go by Blue online just because lol.

I’ve always had my name shortened to Ben, but I’d rather a nickname like James or Mark. Of course most people online just call me by my username.

most people call me cam. i also go by mania at times. oh yeah, and some of my friends have started calling me camothy.
my parents also call me cami

My name is Erin, so not really something you can shorten. My brothers used nicknames in school (Matthew and Michael), but not at home, because my mother wasn't fond of them (which is also ironic, because she never cared for her name and has always gone by a shortened version).

In high school, I was nicknamed "Mouse", because I was shy, introverted, and quiet as... well, you get it.

Yes, it's a funny question. My name is Federica and it's too long, indeed my friends call me "Fede", which in Italian means "faith"(the religious mean, in particular), so sometimes it happened that someone said: "have faith" and they joked with me saying things like "we always have you here". In general I like to give nicknames which remember the food to my friends, sometimes I call a friend "salsiccia"(sausage), while another friend calls me "caciotta"(a type of cheese).
Another friend once called me often "Rudolf" (the red-nosed reindeer ) because once I got a pimple just in the center of the nose. In short, we are truly weird folks HAHAHAHAHA
In elementary school, however, I had derogatory nicknames that I prefer not to remember, unfortunately children know how to be bad.(But I think it happened to many people, and I think each of them is a wonderful person today ❤ )

Asian, Asian Jew, Taj (acronym for the Asian Jew), Token (given to me by my non Asian Jewish friends), Linsanity (Bc apparently that’s what happens when an asian plays basketball), Wasabi (long story)

I don't really have a consistent nickname on this forum except maybe N64. I've had people call me 64, Nintendo 64, super mario, and even mr. mario lollll.

I've got a few.

Most of my friends either call me Mimi or Mel. Sometimes Melly on the rare chance, ehe. Some old friends call me Bucky/Buck. Sometimes I'm Cheemsy Meemsy. Or just, Meem. LOL. Still get called Seona but it's very rarely... but! I've got more > : )

Family wise? Got a few of those as well. My dad calls me Melmac (the planet ALF comes from), my mom calls me Mahna Mahna (sometimes just one Mahna LOL (my father calls me Mahna, but it's not the double like my mom AHA)...
Ummm, little brother calls me Goonter/Goontie/Goontler/Goont... There is an explanation for this. I'm really good with nicknames and I tend to make them even better once I start using it. I started calling my little brother 'Jaygonts' (his name is Jason), then it just became Gont/Gontie. Then eventually we added an 'oooo' sound in it, and.. boom. We BOTH call each other Goont or some other variation. Very rarely do we call each other by our real names, unless if we're annoyed with one another, ehehe.
My second oldest sister calls me her Mini-Me, or Ree, as there was a time I went by Avery and she just calls me 'Ree'. Her and some of her friends do.
My oldest brother just calls me 'Mels-anie' (inserts an s into my name for some reason), and I think it's so cute lololol.
My oldest sister really doesn't call me much of anything. Sometimes Melmac, like my dad, but... I'm typically just 'bruh' x)

surprisingly it's mog 🥺 since i'm a bit older, it's rare for new acquaintances to call me by it (but it does still happen), it makes me happy since i don't like my real name
