Do you have that one "problematic" villager?

Now, I'm not saying are they some evil villain (though you can consider them that if you want), but what I'm referring to is mostly that one villager that does stuff that causes you a little bit of a problem through various things. Things like spreading catchphrases, sitting in your way all the time, always a pain in the arse to find, etc.

For me, that is Del and Wolfgang.

I only got Del a couple weeks ago, but so far he LOVES sitting on the bridge--my only bridge, might I add--often blocking me from getting to the other side of my island without using my vaulting pole or talking the long route around the river. He can also be somewhat difficult to find at times. He really likes wandering at the back of the island behind cliffs and such.

Then there's Wolfgang. He's incredibly difficult to find at times, though I've kinda picked up on his 'habits' of where he walks so it hasn't been too bad the last week or so. But the main thing that he does that can be problematic is the fact he exercises on the bloody inclines all the time, namely the one leading up to Nook's Cranny and my player's house.

I have Kidd, and Kidd likes sitting in the middle of a 2 tile wide path beside the river. Imagine a river, a two-tile path, and then a villager house. I can walk around the house, but just him sitting there is annoying at times, when I come running up ahead full speed.

Then there's Deirdre, who's never awake when I can start playing during my morning break. And oftentimes when I do visit her and she's inside, she'll be sitting there reading so I still can't give her a daily gift! I have figured out though that if I leave the house and come back in, if I'm quick I can intercept her before she reaches her mush stool and becomes unavailable.

Other than that, I think most of my villagers are actually quite well behaved!

It'd be Norma for me. In general, not a big fan of normal personalities, she sung a song about pears and it was terrible, lol. Then she snagged Rizzo into her posse; so they're an item.
He now uses her catchphrase and I'm scared because both her house and his are on the opposite sides of the map. He's going to infect my other villagers! 😨

Pudge is another case because he likes to block my land bridges/hoppy land squares. I had to remove the bushes, so no one gets trapped on the mini river island.

For me it's Ed. He constantly causes fights between my villagers. If I'm doing construction he plops down right where I'm working. I try to work elsewhere and he comes right over to block my way. I don't hit my villagers but sometimes I think of making an exception for him even though I wont do it. If I need to give him something, it's like he knows and will imidiatly sit on something he can't be pushed off to stand. He also will follow me out of nowhere. I'll go into my house and he will appear right in front of my door when I come out. It's kinda creepy. Maybe he's just getting ready for Halloween lol

Cyrano and Rizzo REFUSE to have the "want to move" bubble above their heads, even though I've had them pretty much since the beginning.

Apollo was always a pain where he placed himself to fish but the biggest problem villager has been Bam. He ALWAYS engages with conversation in a choke point (usually my ramps), forcing me to use the ladder. It’s good for him that I think he’s a good deer

Chops. i've been cursed to house him on my island twice and each time was terrible simply bc i dont rly like smugs in this game and he. i cannot look at him. i just cant. Hazel was my second most problematic bc she's rly tiny and was rly hard to find when i needed to.

I currently have 3 lazies cuz I had 2 naturally and then Erik showed up in my campsite, and I couldn't say no to him but I didn't get have Tucker or Wade's picture. Tucker was my first lazy and I STILL don't have his pic. I have literally everybody else who started the island, but not him. He's also problematic in that he is ALWAYS the one crafting in the morning, when I'm able to play. I DON'T need anymore cardboard recipes, THANK YOU.

Wade is adorable but I want his pic so I can finally let him go. Love your design, love your house, but 3 lazies is too much. He also loves to take catchphrases that don't make sense to him. Erik does this as well. It just ain't right when your adorable baby penguin accentuates everything with "periodt."

Bunnie was supposed to be a temporary villager that I would give away after getting her picture but she's just ALWAYS sitting down! I usually play in the evening so she's always in her house, and for whatever reason every time I visit her she decides its a good time to sit down with a book and read, outright ignoring my company 😤 and talking to them three times doesn't make them get up if they're sitting on something in their home so there have been days when I just gave up on giving her a gift. And thus she's still here. She's adorable so I don't mind too much but she's taking Diana's place right now and I miss my princess 😔

Vivian and Gala both used to love sitting on pathways - the thin ones with no way around them.

Lately they haven't been as annoying since I gave them both a large yard that they share. They hang out in it a lot :)

(Actually, I gave all of my villagers yards - some don't ever use them, some use them tons. Also, Vivian's and Gala's yard has become a central meeting place so it seems, everyone loves to chill in there at one time or another - specifically Sherb.)

I decided on Hazel as my resident uchi but she is kinda annoying lol. She caused anger to multiple of my other villagers, and just strolled off with this indifferent and unaware look on her face. Sometimes when i catch villagers after a fight both parties would be mad at each other but with Hazel it was always only the other person getting mad!

Nah, I like all my villagers. My sister however, says she only keeps Tammy around because Tammy is mean to her LOL. One day Tammy said something that annoyed her and she told me that she hated Tammy. I told her she could move her out but she said, "Nah, the game is only fun if I can complain about one of them." I guess it makes sense since real life would be boring if everyone got along perfectly. None of the villagers in New Horizons are particularly mean or cranky, so I don't really have any issues with any of them. I do miss when they were more rude and had more personality though.

this is the reason I have two uchis on my island - they keep things interesting haha. Deirdre hardly feels like an uchi but Pashmina was slightly rude/sassy on day 1 and I need that to balance out the fluff of some of the other villagers. But surprisingly my peppies are the ones who start the most fights 😂 Bunnie was bullying both Raymond and Wolfgang yesterday and they were both fuming while she just walked away and started fishing

Deirdre was epic when I had her back in the early days of Evwirt. She’s definitely my favorite sisterly now (tons better than my starter sisterly on Arctin, Flo) and I’m counting down the days till she comes back!

she's beautiful and spunky and easily my favorite female deer villager (though I love them all)

Mine is the villager being problematic because she's hard to find. I want Judy in my island! :ROFLMAO: When will our paths cross?

Oh, that’s a hard choice, because Diana pretty much singlehandedly saved snooties for me, and Fauna is just plain adorable...

...darn it we’re supposed to talk about problematic villagers not gush over good ones! On Arctin Sterling always manages to place himself RIGHT where my jumping spots are.

Judy haunts my hunts. I’ll try to donate you some of my luck!

Yup, for me it was Winnie. She was always getting into fights with others and didn't vibe with the rest of my villagers. Things calmed down a lot when she moved out. Its too bad too because she was really cute lol

For me it was Phil who was always singing the default tune wherever he went, he also sat on every path he could find, and refused to wear any clothes I gave him. He has been promoted to ex-resident.

My current villagers are actually very nice! They sit in good spots and know how to behave themselves. I hardly ever see Ursala leave her house though, and her lights are always on when everyone is asleep. On top of that, she asked my other character to confirm that I have no special talents.

...I don't think I am the one to blame her.
