Where I live (in my house at least) we take them off and wear slippers on the first floor, go barefoot on the upper floor  Was just kinda curious about how people do it in other countries?

I keep them on inside when I need to. Otherwise i'd be in socks, barefoot is so overrated.

We take our shoes off by the door. Shoes that have been outside are gross. I don't want dirt dragged on our floors, and even urine and other bodily fluids, or traces of fecal matter or who knows what else. And depending on my mood, I go barefoot or wear socks or my Pusheen slippers

I take mine off as soon as I can. I would love to have a mud room eventually or just a lowered entry area to take them off at. I am not too big on wearing just socks inside cause I do not like when they get dirty haha. I should invest in some slippers!

definitely not. even at peoples houses where they allow me to keep my shoes on , i always take them off

yuck. I can never imagine wearing shoes in the house. When I get home from school, I immediately take them off once I reach my room. I walk around barefoot because we have carpets so I don't need socks, and also I just hate wearing socks in the house. Like I love wearing socks, just not in my house lol

Goofy question but I'll humor you.

Wearing shoes inside someone's home (unless alowed) is very rude and disrespectful. You should wear socks, slippers or even go barefoot when you visit.

I usually almost always go barefoot. The only time I don’t is when I’m wearing sandals, and usually it’s not on carpet and they aren’t dirty enough to get the house dirty. :)

I'm always shocked when I go to a friends house and they don't take off their shoes, same when they visit mine. This was my living hell when I lived in dorms... At home we always have a space by the entrance to take off your shoes and change into slippers. I pretty much keep slippers everywhere in the house - regular cotton types for indoors (sometimes with those cleaning things you can attach to the bottom lol) and plastic ones for inside bathrooms.

Where I live in the US, it's not typical to take your shoes off inside. Guests usually keep their shoes on while visiting other people's homes. When I walk through my door, I'm immediately in the carpeted living room and there is nowhere either inside or outside that makes sense to leave your shoes. I put on or take off my shoes in the bedroom, so I wear them through the house. But I don't leave them on unless I'm planning on going back out soon. I will either be barefoot or in slippers when I'm at home depending on how cold or warm it is.

No way! It's bringing outside dirt in and treading it around the house. I do let guests keep their shoes on if they want to (though I'd prefer them not to). My neighbour has slippers for guests to use, I think that's a good idea.

we usually leave our shoes near the door before coming in it's also the same for guest and all that jazz we don't usually put on slippers although my mom insist on me to because the floor could get dirty and i'm usually the one to mop it up ech

I always take off my shoes, but my mom doesn't! She thinks her shoes are clean because the soles of her shoes are flat. Once she walked in poop and guess what....
I would think the majority of people take off their shoes at the door where I'm living.

usually i don't, but if i'm just getting back from somewhere or about to leave to go somewhere i might walk around with shoes on for a bit c:

nope! i either wear my little slippers or go barefoot.
