I was taught eons ago in grade school (I'm talking the early 1980s ) when our lives depended on knowing how to write in cursive. I can still write in cursive and read it as well. Due to about a decade working in data input before becoming disabled my hands aren't what the used to be so my cursive isn't as lovely as it used to be. I also have a habit of combining printing & cursive when I'm writing a lot & writing quickly.
I was taught cursive in 3rd and 4th grade, but then once I entered middle school, I just stopped writing in cursive. Now it's difficult for me to read in cursive and I forgot everything I learned.
Yea, we had to use it in school, like everyone else it seems like :b I stopped writing in only cursive tho, and I now write a mix, where some letters are cursive and some are not, depends on what is faster for me to write
Lol no. In 3rd and 4th grade, my school was straight up militaristic about learning it, but now I forgot how to write anything in cursive except my full name for signatures.
Honestly though, I was taught some cursive writing in primary school but it's been a while since I've last used the skill. I'm not sure if I even have it as a skill anymore.
I used to in school but stopped as soon as I hit middle school. Too much effort for me, apparently. Still can't read it. Maybe I should've tried harder, lmao
I think my cursive is very illegible. I remember this one time at school back in around fifth grade where we had to take a spelling test. The teacher made us all write in cursive, and I knew what I was writing, but the problem was that my cursive sucked. One of the words that I spelled correctly, got marked incorrect because I didn?t write it in cursive correctly. That?s why I started writing the non-cursive version next to it. I didn?t want anything marked wrong that wasn?t wrong.
With that being said, I guess we can conclude that I cannot write in cursive. Even my signature on my ID is pretty bad.
