Bats are wicked. We used to get them in our bunkie but they could never actually fly around inside because of the screen that was put there. So they'd hang upside down in the window and sleep there. I love their little ears.
I do like them a lot, they're cute and move in a cool way, but there are so many of them here that I can't open the window at night because they often get inside and get lost trying to get out again. I don't think they carry rabies but I don't think it's a good idea to get bitten anyway trying to remove them, and honestly I would be a bit scared of them if they got into my small living space. So at the moment they are a bit annoying tbh.
bats are super cute, it's a shame they have such a bad reputation. we see a lot flying around at nighttime where i live; i'd love to see one up closer someday.
i love bats! they’re honestly so adorable and they make my heart happy
whenever my mom comes across this video on her facebook feed, she always stops to watch and share it and so, i figured i’d share it with you guys, too c’:
From a distance, yes. They're not super common here, but we do get them from time to time. They're not scary in and of themselves, but the fact that they carry rabies and other diseases means that you have to be careful with them. A couple years ago, there was a bat that was resting outside my front door, and we were trying to gently scare it off so that my dog wouldn't end up trying to fight it or so it wouldn't fly inside when people went in and out. So we tried spraying it with water from the hose, and instead of flying off, it just spread its wings and enjoyed the bath. It was adorable.
I really don't care about bats, just not interesting animals. They're not scary or cute imo, they're just meh. But I do get a lot of bats around my house, kinda wondering where they are coming from because they're always coming from this direction of crowd of trees and I will never know.
They're alright. Not exactly bothered by them but I see them flying around when I go out for a late night walk/bike ride. I think I got hit in the chest and neck by them a couple of times .-.
Bats are wonderful I work with them regularly at the wildlife rehab centre I’m employed at (disclaimer: I have a preventative rabies vaccine, don’t touch wild bats). They’re incredibly cute and funny, and a lot smarter (and snarkier) than we give them credit for.
I'm actually surprised that so many people like bats! Personally, for me, I'm indifferent to them. I haven't seen that many bats as I don't go to caves as much since I don't really like dark and tight places (maybe have a mild case of claustrophobia) but I don't dislike them
I guess they can be quite adorable from the images shown in this thread
