Do you like Isabelle's announcements?

I'm personally not a huge fan of them! I do like Isabelle but I like just running around and being like "Oh, I didn't know that there was a visitor in the campsite today haha"

I don’t mind the ones that are actually talking about things going on on the island. They’re actually useful. ^^

It’s the ones that are like “oh I found my sock”, “ Oh, I finished my crossword puzzle.” that piss me off. -.-

For me, during the announcements all Isabelle talks about is what's going on in my island. If there aren't any news she just makes a remark on the current season. I don't mind, actually.

I heard people were annoyed with Isabelle when her announcements consisted of mundane occurrences in her life... I honestly haven't come across those before, but I think it's because I started my island pretty late.

I liked them because they show off her personality well, but I wish there was a skip button. It sucks to be locked into a screen when you desperately just want to get into the game especially if you're time-traveling.

I agree with Pyoopi - I wish there was an option to skip it, because it takes so long to start the game up for the first time in a day. But the announcements of which visiting NPC you have are useful, so you don’t have to go around looking for Flick or CJ. And of course it’s important to know when it’s a villager’s birthday!

A skip button would be welcome, but I wouldn't mind them so much if it had been continued to be Tom Nook! I love Tom, Isabelle is not on the same level!

i do wish there's a skip button sometimes but i don't mind them so much - more unique dialogue would have been nice like if she had any announcements about the villagers would be cool

i especially love seeing her animations at the end of her announcements, this tilt is my favourite because of the jingle of her bell !!!!

Remember before 2.0 when Isabelle barely announced anything relevant? I mean, you could possibly have...

• Flick show up wanting to buy bugs
• Celeste stargazing at random
• Wisp in some random remote place
• Valentine's Day

...all in one day, and Isabelle would simply say, "No news to report today! Is it me, or did this week fly by?" Pfft. Useless you are.

Thankfully she announces more relevant stuff past 2.0. The "no news" announcements were getting to the point of becoming repetitive and annoying. Still, I wish it was like that from the start.

I like Isabelle but I wish the announcements were much shorter and skipped mentioning stuff I'll probably figure out myself anyway like campsite visitors or Redd's boat. Would've been much better if this was instead done in the way many other games announce their news, by displaying one simple popup page describing any new changes when you login.

Honestly, I sometimes wish that the announcements were longer. I want her to tell me which NPC is visiting my island that day, and she only give one piece of information a day so the NPC visitor is often left out.

i like them, more or less! i do wish they were skippable sometimes, though, especially the ones with no actual news. but generally i like them and find them reasonably varied (at least after the big update)

Yes! I think it’s cute that Isabelle’s smiling face is the first thing we see when we play. I like knowing which NPC is visiting my island, if I have a campsite visitor, or if there’s going to be a meteor shower! I’m not big on her seasonal materials announcements, though they do come in handy sometimes when I’ve forgotten that a seasonal material has become available.

I do wish that her announcements were stackable though, rather than her only announcing 1-2 things when there’s more stuff going on. If she’s going to make announcements, she should announce everything. I also agree that more unique dialogue would be nice since it’s definitely repetitive by now, and it would’ve been cool if Isabelle and Nook took turns making the announcements!

I liked them when I first got the game, but now, I honestly don’t care for them except when she tells me what npc is visiting. I’ve already heard about her finding her sock more than enough times. I still like Isabelle, but I wish there was a skip option.

They were fun to read at first, but they got really annoying later on. I really wish you could skip the dialogue...

I like them. Back before 2.0 everyone was criticizing Isabelle for not using her announcement time to tell people what was happening around town, so I don't mind that she announces things. I miss how she talks about her personal life with her brother or her parents. I know she still does it when there's nothing else going on around the island, but I'd still like to see it more often.

Tons of people find them annoying but I find it cute. Obviously it's a videogame character but it's sweet how she bothers to do it every single day!

Huh. I have never heard her talk about her personal life with her family. Did they get rid of that entirely with the 2.0 update? Or is it something that starts after you've played for a full year?
