I live on a small island, about 400 people, one of the Orkney Islands just of the North of Scotland. We are very rural.

For the first 18 years of my life, I lived in a rural area and I hated that.

A bit of everything I guess? Like I live in a small town with farms and lots of countryside, but it's not totally out in the sticks.

I live in an urban area in a small city (by population) I think it has like 90,000 people, the area of the city is big though. I hate this disgusting city, it's dirty, it's ugly, it's dangerous. It's a poor city with lots of beat up looking buildings. I'm kind of poor but I'd say I'm very close to middle class, I live in an apartment (like almost every person in this city) I live in the biggest apartment in the apartment, it's like the size of a small house. It has some suburbs here but very little, and they look really nice. There's a big part of the city that is rural with like a little bit of streets and houses and surrounded by forest.


I would love to live in a rural area or a urban area that has European style buildings (in Europe of course) I'd also like to live in a Asian urban area. Or a city like Boston.

I think it technically counts as rural because I know what the suburbs of the nearest city are and I live quite a distance outside of them. It's a nice town surrounded by forest and other nature but it has everything you need and well if it doesn't there is a larger town nearby and the city is a short train ride away (don't ask me why my little town has a fantastic train connection like that, I have no idea xD). I love it. The best of both worlds. <3
