Do you need something to help you sleep each night?

I need a lot for me to be able to sleep well/at all, unfortunately. The room needs to be as dark as I can get it, I need to have the fan on for white noise (the air circulation might help too? I'm not sure), and the temperature has to be cool, but I also can't sleep without a blanket, preferably multiple. Even with all this, I usually have to take melatonin to help myself fall asleep, but it doesn't even work for me 100% of the time.

I usually turn on a nightlight shaped like a sakura tree. That usually works, but when it doesn't, I turn on Hamilton, and hold my two kawaii stuffed animals, Eclipse and Butterscotch.

aaaaaa please don't make fun of me for still having stuffed animals

I struggle to fall asleep most nights. Sometimes I listen to music to help lull me to sleep, but that only has a 50% chance of working. Most nights, I just use my Hello Kitty fleece blanket, night light with star shaped cutouts, and scroll through Reddit until my phone hits my face.

Don’t worry. I doubt that anyone will make fun of you here.

Up until last year, I still slept with my Care Bears. I was 26 at that time. The only reason I don’t sleep with them anymore is because I found another teddy bear and they all don’t fit in my bed. I now keep them all on my office chair to make it fair.

I need my bed. 😆

No, really. My bed is for sleeping. That's all I use it for. I don't sit on it, I don't do anything on it during the day, it's just there until I go to it at night to sleep. So I guess I've conditioned myself to go to sleep in it. Which is great, I guess, because I don't have trouble falling asleep at night.

When I travel, I don't sleep well for the first couple of nights. I can't sleep on planes either.

I need my bed. 😴

I definitely need the room to be dark and as little noise as possible... Which is difficult when either my bf sleeps and snores or is watching/playing something (pretty quietly, but still). And patting makes me sleep better too =w=

Does my big salt rock lamp count? Because I’m almost 30 and still scared of the dark haha

I need it to be dark (no lights on, no windows open) and I need sound (usually people speaking).

I can sleep without either of those conditions if I'm tired enough though!

As long as everything is quiet enough in the rooms next to me and the lights are off than i'm fine. I can sleep without the lights off and if it's noisy, tho.

I like having a source of light, I find darkness very encroaching. I also sleep best with my own blanket, it's just the perfect weight and thickness. I have sleeping pills as well, but I try not to use those.

I've gotten so used to wearing an eyemask every night I can't sleep without one. I even bring one with me when out camping. I hate having even the faintest light around when trying to sleep.

It needs to be extremelly quiet, because I'm very sensitive to the smallest noise.. oh and no lights at all or I will go crazy.
I also need to have a plush to hug, or else I will sleep very poorly. No idea why, but oh well!

I am a very picky sleeper lol.

I need just the right amount of light to get a good night's sleep, and it has to be completely silent, otherwise, I will have trouble and probably will never get to sleep.

I have a hard time sleeping away from home. (luckily I haven't had to since moving in my current house back in June 2020)

I have a hard time sharing a room with someone. (luckily I have always had my own room, but we used to have to go to hotels quite often back in my old town, and I would have to share a room with my mom) -- it is especially a pain if I also had to share a BED.

I don't need it, but I prefer to fall asleep to music. I have a sleep function on my alarm clock that plays for 90 minutes, and I tune it to the classical station.

Yeah, the important thing I need in order to get to sleep is having at least one fan going, both for white noise and to cool the air while I'm under my blankets. I've always struggled to get to sleep during power outages when I'm unable to have any fans going. I also have a DVD playing in the background for a bit of light and more noise in order to get to sleep as well, which helps me get to sleep faster, though it's not absolutely required.
