Very rarely tbh. I could probably count on my hands how many times I've actually read it lol. I barely check the app, and the few times I have read it, it's all sounded the same/smiliar so there's really no real motivation for me to bother.

honestly i don’t do trades or visit others enough but when i do, i do use the app for the keyboard and reactions! for my everyday playing though… newspaper

No, I don't have NSO or the app. Even if I had NSO, I don't think I'd use the app or even download it tbh.
I had no idea this even existed- it's so adorable!!! Thank you for make me aware of it I only ever used the app to type or scan old New Leaf QR codes.
It even has a turnip tracker! If I would have known, I wouldn't have wasted time manually writing down all the prices back when I was playing the stalk market
Definitely want to try using it in the future ^-^ ...As soon as I figure out how to fix my Nook Link. It's still showing info for an island I deleted long ago lol

i think when you first launch the game, you click on the “—” then talk to tom nook about the nooklink settings
