Do you still have your childhood toys around?

A lot of them I gave away or sold but some of them are in a box in the garage

I actually was able to locate one of them recently(Exon Gas Station Tiger Truck). But that is the only one I've been able to find.

I have all my favorite stuffed animals from my childhood on a shelf in my bedroom. The rest of my toys are in a box in our shed. I'd like to go through those boxes; I had a Snivy figurine years ago and I would like to find it.

Aww I can't wait to see that movie!!

Most of my old toys are gone and I miss them. just not enough to pay ridiculously high scalper prices for. xc

I especially loved my sam cereal mascot frog though I never liked or willignly bought the cereal. I slept with it every night and hugged it when I was sad. Even though it was old and tattered I never stopped liking it. It went missing after I left it with my cat in the vet so my scent hopefully wouldn't make him feel abandoned.

I was so mad at the vets. I know I'd still have that plushie if it weren't for that xc.

I had a bunch of bk mcdonalds toys i liked too. I liked action figures more than dolls as a kid. Dolls were nice too I played with them and begged my mom for them but action figures never had bad hair after a lot of uses.

I had a ton of pokemon cards I looked at every single day and yugioh cards I threw away because my uncle convinced me they were the work of satan. uwaaa!!! I regret throwing away so many things because they were all "satanic" and stuff. arrgh!! xc

It's true the bible says you shouldn't set aside treasures for yourself on earth or love material over god, but if you read it also says the earth is the center of the universe and way worse things than hoarding earthly possesions.

I just wish I had the knowledge then or bothered to read it :, (

I basically have almost nothing from my childhood as a result

now I box my plushies and squshies and every so often go through them to lift my mood.
~v~ I've become like big al in a way.

I do, some of them at least. Mostly plushies - I really liked those as a child (and admittedly still do) so I've gathered a huge number of them over the years. Most of them are currently in boxes in the garage though. We've also saved the legos that my brother and I used to play with.

Ah I missed this your plushies are adorable :'D I love that meowstic and large raichu <3

aw man  I can relate to conservative religious relatives @ __ @ my mom made me stay away from Harry Potter as a kid

I'm sorry you lost your favorite toy :c I still think it was really sweet that you left it with your cat though, I'm sure it made him feel better

Thank you. :') To be clear, I'm not mad at my cat, how could I ever be? (not accusing you I just reread my post and it sounded like i was mad at him) I'm mad at the vets for tossing it aside when it was supposed to be for him to feel a bit safer, plus ut was my prized possession xc.

I'm always happy to hear I'm not alone in the way I was raised. thank you for your reply. a huge mood lifter. :)

Aw I'm glad I could do that ^^ And hey we can tell strict-religious-upbringing stories anytime! We probably both have a lot of them xD

in 2nd grade my best friends mom took us to build a bear and we all made bears but the hello kitty one i wanted was limited edition and cost more than the other bears but i didnt care bc hello kitty was and still is my life. so while everyone else’s bears had clothes and sound boxes mine was just a naked hello kitty NAMED hello kitty skskdjksdisks i loved it to death and it sits on a shelf in my room today

me and my bestie from 2nd grade actually got back in contact a while ago and when we got to the build a bear birthday topic what she had ro say was “lmfao my dog chewed it up a few years ago” and tbh i felt a little embarrassed that i still have mine. of course i lied and said it just got lost when we moved

aw that sounds so cute :3 I'm glad you still have it! huhu my stuffed-toy naming ability was similar when I was a kid, I'd name pandas Pandy, raccoons, Raccoon, etc.

Oh yeah, I still have lots of plushies, figures and other toys from my childhood around me. Some
are not in the best condition anymore, but too important for me to throw them into the trash.

Unfortunately, no. Had to dispose of the majority of my childhood toys because they either had wear and tear or there just wasn't enough space to store them all in my room. Adding to that, my parents also threw away some of my stuff without my permission when I was a teenage kid.

So all that's really left now is a Super Nintendo with various game cartridges, some PlayStation games and a medium-sized deck of original Pokémon cards that I temporarily collected when I was in elementary school.

I think I may have a Ninja Turtle and G.I. Joe from the early 1990s stashed away somewhere. But most of it is long gone...we're talking 30 years ago here, lol

Oh man I honestly don't think I have any of my childhood toys anymore. The one I could think of is a large stuff bear that my dad gave me when I was like 12ish? That's not reeeeealllllyyyy childhood tho.

A lot of my stuff was "lost" - probably sold or thrown away when my parents got divorced. I did have a large amount of beanie babies that I held on to for a loooong time. Unfortunately my sister stole them a few years ago because she thought she could make money off them. Not sure how that worked out lmao.

I gave away most of my childhood toys when I moved, except for a select few. My main boi though is a teddy bear named Koda. I've had him since I was a baby and now he's almost old enough to drink lol. He still looks great for his age 💖

Only stuffed animals and ds cartridges I had when I played with my DS a lot.

Also, I still have three books that I got when I was a kid as well, in which two were Magic Treehouse books (Lions by Lunchtime and Sundown by Ghost Town) and the last one being Cam Jansen: The Summer Camp Mysteries.

Other than that, I don't really have anything left from my childhood.

I think I still have most of my beanie babies and barbies in storage, but I do still keep some small trinkets near

yes and they are all in my room, most of them on display...
not exact numbers but i have like 50 plushies, 10 monster high dolls (i had to give loads of these away), a few my little pony figures and a bunch of lego

i really liked playing with dolls as a child, i used to have a bratz caravan but my mum threw it away along with my favourite monster high doll inside, a day i will never forget...

A lot of my childhood toys have been sold at garage sales or donated. I know my mom still has some in her basement I think she is hoping my sister and I will have children to pass them along to. But those are all the toys I don't care about anyway.

The only childhood toys I do have and actually plan to keep long term are my teddy bear from since I was a baby (which my boyfriend described the other day as "crusty" because it's reeaaally old and well loved) and my neopets toys. The neopets toys are special because they are from when I was a bit of an older kid, I spent my own money to obtain them and actually treasured them so much.

majority of them are in a giant clear bag in our basement, catching dust in an old closet.

a few of them however are sitting in a little toy box on top of my dresser. not my choice, of course, it’s for my baby cousins for whenever they come over and we need to distract them with something. and i know that toy box isn’t moving from there probably ever, my family is full of rabbits, i got cousins upon cousins flooding in from every corner, i look behind me and bam it’s a new baby cousin to take care of. but hey, im not complaining, i love babies and kids and if im being honest they really like me too, we just bond with each other. it’s probably because i still have the mind of a child and also because i can keep up with their energy. i don’t like sitting down or staying in the same place for too long so running around after them is always enjoyable, which is probably why im always babysitting everyone’s kids lmao.

also, i have big giraffe plush from when i was really small that my uncle bought me. i named it giraffakiki from that one toopy and binoo episode. that was my fav episode, probably because my name is kiki and every time i watched it me and my sister would giggle and she’d say “hey look it’s your name!!” and id be proud for some reason like what?? i was such a confusing child lmao. but yeah i love that giraffe and even though he’s just sitting there in that toy box im not giving him to no one
