i honestly don’t take vitamins at all - my grandmother keeps trying to shove them down my throat but i honestly can’t really be bothered with them ;u;

I take Vitamin D and calcium supplements. Vitamin D because my blood tests always show I'm deficient in it and calcium because I don't like milk and most dairy products so my doctor recommended it. I also take iron supplements because I'm anemic but that's not really a vitamin.

i really should start taking an over the counter one but i need to ask my doc first. as of now though i take prescription D and i get b12 shots every month (or i should i missed a few and it messed me up bad) the only over the counter i take is fish oil.

I used to, but they didn't help much. Now I receive injections and take medication to manage the deficiencies.

i tried taking vitamins to help with my brittle nails but meh i guess my nail-biting habit isn't helping me grow them properly, i can say my nails have gotten healthier but i think after taking vitamins i should continue with eating proper nutritious food instead

i have a bad case of UTI and i heard taking vitamin C would help, so im currently taking that

Have you contacted a doctor yet? An untreated UTI has the potential to spread to the kidneys and cause irreversible damage. A course of antibiotics would have you seeing improvement within 24hrs and often clears up infection entirely within a few days.

My body is a wreck and I have to take a lot after a couple of surgeries because I had no proper nutrition or sunlight or movement xD I can say they’ve helped lots where my nails are concerned and you can actually see when I had each surgery by the bumps and qualities in my fingernails! I’ve had some fruit gummy ones for my hair before too. They were too delicious though and I had to stop getting them because one was never enough...

Some of them make me very nauseas though. It’s tiring and I tend to skip out on them when I can. Make sure to take iron with orange juice, by the way, because it keeps you from getting super nauseas!

And I think some vitamins are fine to take in moderate doses but if they aren’t water soluble please be super careful because they can shut down your organs! It’s super spooky stuff!

Also, when you take things for your hair and skin, if it’s biotin inclusive at least, be careful of dosage! If you take too much, it will actually make you break out instead of helping you clear your skin and can lead to fattier skin and hair!

sadly no, im stuck in the states bc of the whole covid thing and i dont think i can afford a doctor visit since i heard its pretty expensive in here (im from the middle east)

I take a daily multivitamin, lactobacillus acidophilus probiotic, and D Mannose.

The D Mannose supplement is for UTI prevention - I'm prone to UTI (common for women and many factors for why some are more predisposed than others). My urologist had me on daily antibiotic use indefinitely which can cause other issues/concerns. There's studies on how D-Mannose affects your urinary system for UTI prevention...all I know is taking it let me get off the antibiotics.

The Lacto probiotic was more for yeast prevention....long-term antibiotics can cause yeast infections for women and taking this prevented that when I had to be on antibiotics daily. I continue to take it now just because it's still good overall for vaginal balance.

Multivitamin I take because my diet isn't the best. I have a hard time eating as I should due to other health reasons that cause me to have lack of appetite/nausea issues.

I just want add that vitamins and supplements are not regulated so others are right that you should always still research and consult with your doctors if you feel you need them first. I can only speak for what I take due to my own health care considerations and experiences. <3

Oh man, probiotics! I also had to take those for ages thanks to antibiotics just wrecking me. TwT Does it have a general improvement when you take it outside of using antibiotics? I’m thankfully off of them for the time being but might take probiotics just to improve my tummy.

I never had yeast infections before antibiotic use. So, I can't really say it's benefits when off antibiotic since it's not occurring...my vaginal health and balance feels 100% haha. They say your periods, hormone fluctuations, unprotected sex can all disrupt balance of Lactobacillus for some (why some girls get them after periods or sex). It certainly worked 100% on antibiotics which I was on daily for several years (never got a yeast infection with the antibiotics if I took the probiotic).

I guess, for me and my experiences especially with my urologist, in the event the UTIs were to excalate again even with the d-mannose use...I rather have the probiotic use already consistent to avoid any issue if I were to go on antibiotic out of the blue and long-term again (yeast infection after care/medication sucks).
I haven't had any negative effects to taking the probiotic and I always communicate with my obgyn on supplements/vitamins.

I know they also can help with abdominal health which would be great because I just couldn’t eat food while on the medication. And it’s always good when it keeps vaginal health in A+condition because infections are super not nice and distracting TvT Might ask my doctor when I come back in just to put me on some for all of that.

For sure, it never hurts looking into things.

Speaking of digestion though, I love kimchi which is fermented and known for positive digestion health since the fermentation causes it to contain lactobacilli. So, if you like the taste, definitely something great and healthy especially for uneasy digestion. Natto and Miso have similar effects too.

I’ve never had kimchi! I know there’s also that one type of fermented tea that’s pretty popular that has similar effects but I hadn’t had that either... I do love miso though and wouldn’t mind slurping a nice bowl of that everyday! Thanks for the tip!

I try to take two multivitamin gummies daily.

i used to be super tired all the time, so my parents took me to the doctors to get blood taken and i had a 'severe' iron deficiency.
ive been taking supplements against it since i was 13 (still should be taking them but i'm slacking) and i'm still tired lol.
also, i take folic acid supplements, vitamin d drops, cause my skin is very sensitive to sun so i can't go out much, and a multivitamin every once in a while.

Yeah I take vegan/B12 vitamins. While I don't eat strictly vegan I can be very cheap and lazy with what I eat sometimes so yeah it's good for me and the hair.

There's vitamin gummies on the table but I cba to take them once to twice a week ;~; i take 1 or 2 like every couple weeks when there's absolutely no snack lying around.

I take a women's multivitamins and I also take acidophilus ✨ not on an empty stomach tho
Occasionally I'll take melatonin if I need a good night's rest
