Do you think the villager pics will be replaced with posters?

I think we will have both in the game. I also think that the pictures are going to be harder to get and it will make them more of a reward.

Nah, that wouldn’t make sense, unless these have the villagers quote and birthday on them, a thing to remember is that we can get Sanrio posters, and they have no villager attached to them (as of now)

No, I don't think they will replace the pictures. Pictures in every Animal Crossing game is a symbol of becoming best friends with that villager and that you worked hard to keep that friendship high. It is always an achievement, so I don't think they would get rid of that at all. I personally like both the pictures and the posters, but these days I don't like scanning in a Amiibo card unless I have to, so I prefer the pictures more.

Villager pics are great! They’re a small reward for maxing out your friendship with an animal. Or, you know, guessed right on April fool’s day lol..

I have a museum room in New Leaf with all of the animals pics that have lived in my town. I’ll do it again in NH assuming we get pics this time. I plan to keep 5 permanent animals (dream team of Rocco, Savannah, Camofrog, Ankha, and Rod) and then have the other 5 slots for rotating animals. I’ll let those ones leave after I get their pic.

I think the posters are cute but would definitely love to see the villager pictures in this one because there's more work that goes into it. And I agree, it would be awesome if the little picture frames could be hung on the wall!

I believe we only get the posters of the villagers we have scanned in with amiibo. If this function has taken over villager pics, that would be stinky.

Has it been confirmed that Amiibo is the only way to get their posters? Maybe if you befriend them you can get the poster without having to use Amiibo. (Amiibo is just faster)

I don’t think they would make it only posters through amiibo. I meant more like how right now, you can get pictures through the amiibo and through friendship. I’m wondering if In new leaf since they showed the poster could be obtained through amiibo...maybe we would also get posters through friendship (instead of the old pictures). Like replacing the old pic with posters.

i doubt it. i think the posters are just a reward for scanning a villager in via amiibo, but villager pics will still be the reward for high friendship.

Didn't the post office have a poster with Pelly and Phyllis in it in New Leaf? And I forget if Happy home had any or if you could hang CD covers on the wall and one cover featured Francine and Chrissy in it.
