Maybe one day, but probably not in the near future. However, it wouldn't surprise me if they don't get any amiibos at all and Nintendo just let them stay "special".

Someday I think we might get amiibos for them, but probably not so soon. If they released amiibo of the new villagers they would probably have to print off other cards to go with em (unless they release them in a set like sanrio)
