PLEASE.... i really hope so, even tho the chances are 50-50. 12 seems like the perfect number.
also ENOUGH of those people trying to ruin the fun. if you don't want more villagers, don't buy the plot. simple as that.
i get that we're just having a discussion but to make excuses as to why they couldn't is very weird. they CAN. don't ruin how we want to play our game, when it won't affect yours. it's not even certain and it's very unlikely. but the logic that the game is set to hold 8 multiplayers, so we couldn't accommodate space when that is optional. like, really if we go by statistic, how many people have used all these slots?
I don’t know for certain but I really hope so. I’d love to have 2 more villagers and I think 12 would be the perfect number and wouldn’t overcrowd our islands with houses. As others have mentioned if you don’t want another 2 villagers it’s as simple as not buying the plots
I don't really have enough space to have more than 10 plots. I'm trying to organise where the houses go while leaving enough space to decorate their yards and the island in general
I honestly hope so. Ideally, I'd love to have 15 villagers, but 12 sounds perfect as well.
I just have so many dreamies, as well as villagers from past games I want to reinvite, and I don't really want to let any of my current villagers go. Cycling villagers is not my thing, I get too attached lol.
Island space could be a problem, but then again, since it would probably be optional, people could just chose not to buy the plots if they didn't want extra villagers. I would surely find some space for the new plots.
Repetitive dialogue can sometimes be a problem (I have 3 normal type villagers) but in the end, if you love your villagers enough, you won't mind.
I don't see why we can't convert unused player plots to villager plots. It would be nice. Here's hoping!
I think part of the appeal of this game is decorating and changing things around as you get new items and such... I expect a lot of new stuff in the future so not so set on my island layout.
Noooo i don't want more villagers. The dialogue is already so repetitive, why would i want another villager who says the same thing as villager #2 or #7.
If they do give you more plots, I would like it to be optional so those who want it can get it but those who are fine with 10 villagers aren't forced to expand.
As much of a pain it would be, I would love if we could have a couple more villagers. I'd have to redo my awhole area around where my villagers... but it would be so worth it!
I doubt they will increase the number of plots, even thought 15 would be amazing. I'd be more than happy to tear down a sizable chunk of land to make space for them all haha
Personally I wouldn't want more, I never talk to mine anymore because the dialogue is so boring. I'm more into designing my island and I barely have enough room for 10 villagers as it is, lmao.
Villagers have always been my favourite part of Animal Crossing so I would love this. I have plenty of room to accommodate more too because, personally, I don't like creating or building things on my island that don't have a function or serve a purpose (cafes, restaurants, outdoor libraries, etc.) because that's just wasted space to me.
Nope I do not think this is going to happen. With all the islanders you can make on one switch, I hardly see it being possible to manage the current maximum capacity as it is.
Just because many of us single players can fit 2, 4, even 6 more villagers on our towns, keep in mind you can have 8 players on one switch in a town. Could you fit 10 more houses? They have to consider the limitations they already put into the game, and this is a huge factor that is overlooked by many
Its seems to be possible,as a dataminer found a real estate shop in the codes.While its would be nice to add Susie/Renee and Noelle/Fauns to my Island, I'll won't be bothered by it, if anymore won't be added(I'm still getting my dreamies so dont really care either way)
Despite the repetitive dialogue, I would love for there to be more plots added as I found it difficult to let go of some of my previous villagers I also enjoy decorating villagers' front yards so I would have that to look forward to!
Posting again after reading a lot of these posts, and I'm soo in support of trading some of the 8 player spots for villagers. I'm only one person, I'm not going to create 7 other players or play with anyone else, LOOL.
But also, for the people saying "my island is already full/the way it is, I don't want more plots/buildings", are you just never going to change your island, ever again, ever? The game has only been out for 2.5 months and we still have an entire years worth of update patches.
I think you'll change your layout one day, lol.
I hope they add more plots but then I don’t. Animal crossing has never had more than 10 plots and I feel having too many plots would ruin the aesthetic in a way. I would really want to have maybe 2 extra plots as I have a bunch of villagers I REALLY want, I’ve managed to narrow my favourites down to 10 but I feel too many plots would ruin the aesthetic sort of
I think they won't, but you would think it to be possible with the possibility of having 8 players on the island...
If it were possible I would go for 12 as the maximum, since then I wouldn't have to choose between some of the villagers I want on my island... though the duplicate personality thing would be extra annoying.
