What are the starting Pokemon for pearl/diamond?

I know next to nothing about this game.

Chimchar - Fire
Turtwig - Grass

Not a lot, I'm pretty sure thats the "God of all Pokemon", what your seeing there isn't multiple of the same thing, its just showing that Arceus can change its type, and when it does, it's look slightly changes.

hmmm if I get a DS and DP (pretty improbable though lol Im not really into Pokemon) Im gonna have a hard choice between the fire monkey and the penguin lol the turtle seems weird to me

The grass pokemon are usually the wierdest.

Chimchar's final evolution looks the coolest though, I have to admit that, even though Im picking Turtwig.

Turtwig's final evolution is 2nd coolest.

But the first evolution that looks awesome has to be Piplup.
