fast food

i used to love fast food and not care about the health aspect of it when i was young because....well i was young. and dumb. but i havent eaten fast food in about probably 5 years? i used to love taco bell though. wendy's spicy chicken sandwich was bomb too.

It appeals to our lizard brain by being fast cheap and tasty. But wisdom section of the brain knows it’s why we have a fupa and restless leg syndrome

It's cheap so it gets you. And you tend to crave the food that you have become very used to eating. Basically fast food is a trap.

I eat lots of salads, cheese and bread (I know bread isn't very nutritionally valuable ok) nowadays and basically never crave sweets and fatty foods (outside of cheese :p ). If anything, they make me cringe a litte. However, if I eat them they taste just fine (obviously I guess?) but not craving them or being slightly appalled by the thought goes a long way to not buying them!

Im vegetarian, and so I only really eat French fries from fast food places and some other specific items like EggMcMuffins from McDonalds, so I don't feel as disgusted as some people do for eating hamburgers etc. But I admit it still is kinda gross. But honestly idc lol, probably because I dont eat it very often

After thought- does chipotle count as fast food? because I do eat there all the time haha.

Chipotle technically counts as fast-casual. It?s a mixture of fast food and a casual restaurant, so kind of, but not really.

welp then I guess I am guilty of eating there pretty often. when I do, I get the sofritas (not meat) so I guess its not really so bad...? (or at least thats what I tell myself...)

Usually I don't eat it, since what makes me feel the food in my mouth tasty is nutritional factors. It's not that I think about those things while eating but my body feels so, it's a mystery. But, sometimes I get strong urge for burgers (like McDonald's!) out of blue. When I do, I straight up drive there and let myself be stuffed with it haha.

Once in awhile.
I still prefer home cooked meals. But for the sake of this topic, if Pollo Loco counts, that and Carls Jr.

Ehhh... fast food places are a little questionable. The food as well as the hygiene behind the counter. That's why I only eat out every once in a blue moon. I eat out more often with our locally owned pizza place than I do McDonald's.

When I'm hankering fast food well I'm out shopping or something, I'll get it. Otherwise- I just don't have the taste.

I don?t eat it much. I only eat out about once a month or so. My faves are chick-fil-a and Panda Express.

I like fast food from the food perspective. Not so much from the service perspective.

For my favourite fast food restaurant, mine would be Jollibee. I absolutely love the spaghetti and burger they have there. Did I mention mango pie? I'm not much of a fan for their chicken because you could get that just about at any other fast food restaurant. Though, I'll admit, their food is more pricey compared to others so I try to go there sparingly to save up my money.

For my least favourite, mine would probably go to Subway. I don't really mind their food, but the way they market their stuff irks me. At one point, it made me cringe. They actually used to be good but they're going in a downward spiral as of late. It used to cost $5 for a footlong. Now, it costs $6.50 for a 6-inch...

You just triggered an epiphany. We crave what we know. DUH. How could I not see it.

i like fast food all equally,,, i eat it when i'm too lazy/don't have the time to cook. or honestly just when im craving junky food. Also I dont see any of them as healthy or 'healthier options anymore' because the "healthy fast food places" like Panera that people think are a better option (lol) I worked there. and no. they lie. their pasties are in our freezer and we had our "bakers" LOL im sorry cant stop laughing, come in and and BAKE frozen pre-made crap and just top it with whatever was needed (cream cheese, strawberries, w/e is in it) and that's it. like nothing was "fresh". mac & cheese? already made and in the freezer in individual pouches, we put them in hot water to defrost them for you to enjoy! :) same with the soups. it actually baffles me that they have their concept of "soup of the day" .... ? when none of the soups were fresh either. Also in the back freezer frozen and thawed in hot water the next day! and if we didn't finish the whole bag we would wrap it back up and stick it back in the freezer.
I also saw gel coloring as an ingredient in one of the bakers books, i thought there was no artificial coloring or preservatives though?

and that's the tea on panera.

i used to work at freshii's and our store was actually really clean and we tried to be as hygienic as we could (we also had the cleanest bathroom i've ever seen honestly) the managers made sure everyone changed their gloves often. i also worked at a bubble tea place that served food that's lowkey fast food... that place was filthy compared to freshii

my fav fast food places would be mcdonalds and thai express. so goooood
i dont get it often tho maybe once every couple of months. i mostly eat out socially to catch up with friends and we usually go to restaurants not fast food places.

I really like eating out but I always prefer small restaurants that do actually cook their food instead of just frying and heating some frozen thing. I'm a slut for pizza and burgers though. As with other foods, I prefer non chain restaurants but those always end up being the most expensive... So I like Pizza Hut and Burger King too.

I know I shouldn't be eating fast food and it can be a bit gross at times but as a full time student with 2 jobs I'm almost never home so I end up eating fast food quite a bit. I try to go for the healthier options when I can - eg I get takeout Chinese food every Monday night because it's near where I have a night class and I always get noodles and vegetables rather than fried chicken etc. I don't eat red meat so that eliminates a lot of unhealthy options like hamburgers but I'm sure I still consume way too much salt. I'm graduating university in June and I hope to learn how to cook afterwards so I can start eating better!

I wouldn't say we eat it very often but occasionally mostly for convenience and, as bad as it might sound, calories. I'm pretty underweight so when I'm desperate to just get any sort of calories I have gotten fast food. I don't heavily rely on it that way though, I generally do try to just stick to my usual healthy foods and space out snacks to hopefully get more calories. But sometimes it's just impossible to try to get myself to eat throughout the day and generally the foods I feel I can eat are too low in calories.

I want to say maybe 2 times a month would be the most. Not sure if that's often but seems more minimal to me.

Depends on what restaurants are considered ?fast food?. For example, Panera Bread is my favorite chain, but it?s debatable whether or not it counts as fast food.
Fast food will never be haute cuisine, and that?s okay, because it serves a different purpose. Wendy?s isn?t fancy, but if you?re hungry and there?s one nearby, it?s perfect. I?m okay with the occasional Wendy?s and Burger King, but I wouldn?t want to eat it every day.

I have it more often than I'd like to.
It just means more exercise/physical activity. haha
I have a weakness for Popeyes Chicken.
