I'm curious and would like to know which dog villager is your favorite and why.
I have to admit, dogs in Animal Crossing aren't so much my favorites. The only one, which appeals to me from the design and all overall, is Lucky, mainly because he's one of those unique looking villagers.
I love the dog villagers! I love their little bean heads and floppy ears. I think I like them because their default shape reminds me of a beagle. My favourites are Butch, Bea, Benjamin, Bones, and Biskit. Haa the B dogs!
My favorite Dog villager would definitely have to be Lucky. I love his mummy design and he pairs together well with Ankha. They're both residents of my main, horror-themed town and I cherish them both.
Runner-up is Marcel due to his mime design and French mannerisms, since his initial catchphrase is "non." A resident of my hybrid circus/magic show-themed town as a clown reference, since Pietro's in a different town and Marcel's face paint and red nose is close enough.
Honorable mentions to Butch and Shep. Butch has followed me around through different games in the series since the GameCube game, and while he's not a resident of any of my New Leaf towns due to him not fitting my towns' themes, he's a good, solid villager who I'm fond of. Meanwhile, I had Shep in my main town for a while before replacing him, and I like his unique design with the fur/hair over his eyes. It's not the same one, but another Shep lives in my best friend's town now so it's nice to still see him around in some capacity from time to time.
Like with cat villagers, dog villagers have a lot of interesting choices you can pick from. My taste might change from time to time, but right now, I voted for Shep because I think he looks the most unique and detailed from the other dog villagers. He could even pass for an NPC.
I had Portia in Wild World and, though I liked her then, I'd put her somewhere in my bottom favorites now.
I like the way Marcel looks. He'd fit in perfectly in a clown/Halloween/birthday themed town.
I think I'd pick Lucky as my second favorite. I had him once either in the GCN version of Animal Crossing or in Wild World and I thought he'd have been better suited with a cranky personality than a lazy one.
Goldie used to be my favorite in the GCN Animal Crossing. I still like her color scheme, so I'd pick her as a third or fourth favorite dog villager.
Cookie is cute, too, but sometimes I think her eyes are a little too big.
I like how Cherry looks too. Perfect for a Halloween themed town.
I had Butch once in GCN animal crossing and I like and would have him in my town if there weren't better crankies to pick from
I like how bones looks. The coloring works well with him and he's not too extravagant.
I like Benjamin and Bea too and biskit isn't bad, but his eyes make it seem like he's a walking dead.
i love bow (and meow)'s aesthetic so much, love the whole robo-head thing they've got going on.
i also love lucky because he's halloween themed, and tbh i find benjamin kinda cute as well. love his big bushy eyebrows.
that being said though, i kind of find the dogs' design kind of meh. they all have weird bean heads that i'm not the biggest fan of, especially with butch being based off a rottweiler and not being shaped like one at all. i hope they're able to incorporate different dog breed designs in new horizons but i'm doubtful that it's something they've looked into at all since it's such a tiny nitpick.
This was a tough one, but I voted for Lucky and Cherry. The only dog villager I've ever had is Bones and while I do like him, I don't think I'd call him a favorite. Lucky and Cherry have always caught my eye because of their unique designs, so that's why I went with them. I love dogs in real life, though, and I'm pretty sure I'd love any dog I met in game.
This was tough for me because I like all the dog villagers, but I voted for Bea, Benjamin, Bow, Champagne, Cookie, Goldie, Lucky, Maddie, Masa, Megumi, and Shep. I like Megumi, Maddie, Lucky, and Bea best. Megumi and Maddie I would love to have in my town one day if they do return in the new game. I've had a lot of the dog villagers, but mostly Goldie. She is really sweet and she reminds me of a Labrador, which is one of my favorite dog breeds and I like the golden color too.
Easy Peasy. Walker has been my favourite since I started Wild World. The main reason I ever joined TBT in the first place was to see if I could get him in my New Leaf town! He's such a sweet friendly boy, I just love him.
It's so hard to decide. Dogs are one of my favorite species (in AC and in real life). In my town I have Bones and Goldie, but I'm also a huge fan of Daisy. If I had to decide, I'd probably say Bones. He's my favorite male villager and I just love the lazy type <3
