No subforums.
Tell that to Jeremy and see what he'd say. lol.Vivi said:I think the whole forum should be changed into a general video game forum. Seriously, not a lot of people play ACCF anymore, and for the people that do play it, there could still be a small section for it.
So? They're unneeded. If anything, they should be a joinable group. I'm still waiting for that Pok#Garrett said:They're sub forums dude....Tyeforce said:If we add more forums that are completely unrelated to Animal Crossing and completely unneeded, we might as well change the name of the forum to "The Everything Tree". >_> If you want to talk about Microsoft and/or Sony games, then do so in the Gamer's Lounge. There's no need to make new forums when what we have works fine. It's not broken, so why fix it?#Garrett said:If you weren't fake ranting I'd agree with you,Tyeforce said:Leave it the way it is now. This is a *censored.3.0*ing Animal Crossing forum, not a general video game forum. Why the hell would you put a Sony and Microsoft subforum in a forum based on a Nintendo game?! You might as well throw in a Movie & TV Show and Music forum, too. Oh, and don't stop there, why don't you also add Sports and Cooking. No, better yet, let's turn The Bell Tree into an EVERYTHING forum!! /sarcasm
But really we need change most members that are worth sticking around don't play CF so maybe a new video game forum will give a breath of fresh air.
About the tearing everything down. We're doing that anyways so honestly I see nothing wrong with it.Tyeforce said:Tell that to Jeremy and see what he'd say. lol.Vivi said:I think the whole forum should be changed into a general video game forum. No, turning TBT into a general video game forum is just stupid. You'd have to change everything. And I know from experience that forums that go this route usually end up failing in the long run. Take Brawl Central, for example. The forum that I went to before TBT. They decided to turn into a general Nintendo forum, and then a general video game forum, and the place slowly died out. You can't change the main focus of TBT unless you want it to fail. And the whole "Animal Crossing isn't popular anymore" argument is invalid. Some people are just losing interest because the latest Animal Crossing game is getting old now. But that's nothing new, because the same thing happened to Animal Crossing and Animal Crossing: Wild World, but TBT survived, didn't it? There's no need to change anything. Except maybe more mods and community events, that is. And a move to a better forum software (one that will allow you to transfer all data over during the move, not vBulletin).

Yes, so? There won't be a problem if we move to a forum software that will keep everything from the ZetaBoards database.K.K.Slider said:We are almost 99% certain we're moving right?Tyeforce said:What do you mean?Gnome said:About the tearing everything down. I never said Animal Crossing wasn't popular anymore. You don't have to play City Folk to talk about Animal Crossing and related games. >_>Vivi said:I never said Animal Crossing wasn't popular anymore. So? That happens now anyway. I know lots of people sick of all the Brawl topics. Would it be fair to ask them to stop posting in those topics?Tyeforce said:No, because if they were normal subforums, they would still show up in the Active Topics list. If they were a joinable ground, they wouldn't appear there unless you had joined that group.Rawburt said:That's why the subforums WOULD be good since you wouldn't have to see them unless you went into them.Tyeforce said:There are a lot of people here who don't want to see those kind of threads, though. If it was a joinable group, it would still get its own forum, but you wouldn't have to see the threads unless you have joined the group. It's a win-win.Rawburt said:Dude, what's the big deal, it's not gonna change the focus of the site and you don't have to post there.Tyeforce said:Quoting limited to 5 levels deepIf anything, they should be a joinable group.
