Gamers' Lounge Subforums

Guys, Ive heard some older members talking about how when the forum almost dies a while back they were considering changing the forum to a general video game forum...

And anyway it would alienate all the members who dislike video games in general but like AC.

There are a lot of people here who don't want to see those kind of threads, though. If it was a joinable group, it would still get its own forum, but you wouldn't have to see the threads unless you have joined the group. It's a win-win.
That's why the subforums WOULD be good since you wouldn't have to see them unless you went into them.
No, because if they were normal subforums, they would still show up in the Active Topics list. If they were a joinable ground, they wouldn't appear there unless you had joined that group.
So? That happens now anyway. I know lots of people sick of all the Brawl topics. Would it be fair to ask them to stop posting in those topics?
I haven't noticed many Brawl topics at all. .-. Anyway, there are far more Nintendo fans at an Animal Crossing forum than there are Sony and Microsoft fans. Animal Crossing is a Nintendo franchise, with lots of cameos and references to other Nintendo franchises, and it's only on Nintendo consoles, so it's only common sense to allow general Nintendo talk. But Sony and Microsoft games and consoles are completely unrelated, and shouldn't be thrown into the mix, unless they'd be completely optional.

-_- There is a whole group of youtube people on here that concertrait mainly on those consoles tye (A.K.A Frosty Hydrant) So maybe we should give them more respect and let them have subforums just for the games they play most.

Dude, what's the big deal, it's not gonna change the focus of the site and you don't have to post there.

Baaww. If their eyes bleed from seeing The PSN Thread or Left 4 Dead, they need a doctor. They're sub-forums. Ergo, they don't have to look at them.

@Ciaran: Yeah, fairly certain there was talks about that.
Yes, they do have to look at them if they use the Active Topics list, which is what I assume most users here use. I never even use the normal forums anymore. I just look at the Active Topics. It's much more convenient.
Tye just give it a rest, most people who go to Gamers Lounge like Microsoft and Sony games, so fighting against that is selfish.

That is all I have to say on the matter.

Now just try and tell me there isn't that many Sony fans. That's a good sum of people, and that doesn't even cover the 360/PC people.

Secondly:

The Town
-Gamer's Lounge
-Nintendo Wii and Virtual Console
-Nintendo DS
-Legacy Systems
-The Museum
-Off Topic
-Brewster's Cafe

Hmm. I think the Town is the "Off Topic" category.

So what if they have to look at them? Since when does it hurt to look at a few words?

Am I the only one that never uses the Active Topics list?

I don't even know what that is honestly.

I don't understand why everyone's so against a joinable group. It's practically the same thing, except you don't see the threads unless you're in the group. Like I said, it's a win-win. No problems at all. Why so against it?

Mighty small living space there, seeing as that's PC/360/PS3/PSP/Past Consoles Not Ninty crammed together. And then look at the fat happy Ninty boards that rarely get new posts other than the Brawl threads.

Because it makes things more complicated. I still don't understand what's wrong with seeing a topic on the list that you don't like. Just don't click on it.

Because, it would be awkward to talk about different topics in the same group.

Because you're making it sound like you have some sort of health disorder when you see threads that aren't related to Nintendo.

And Active Topics is useless to me.
