Hello everyone!
As a kid, I loved using Spray Paint. I didn't knew a lot of how
it works and the rules of painting consoles, so I just tried and failed..
over and over again until I gave up. Years later, I decided to give it
another try, but inform myself more about how to prepare the surface,
which Spray Paint to use, how thick the layers need to be, etc. - and it
worked! I started to do custom controllers and consoles for myself
and thought it could be a nice thing to share those and in the future
even sell them, yay!

If you are interested in getting some custom Joy Cons, Controllers, etc.
feel free to message me, I would love to make you some!

Here is my very first custom paint job! A GameCube controller in metallic blue / white <3
I might make better pictures later, but for now I am quite busy repainting my Switch Joy Cons!

I love this. Id pay for a dock + joy con recolour (⌒▽⌒)☆

I really want a pink aesthetic

omg these are amazing!!!

Thank you!!

I would definitely pay for a recolor for the pro controller.

I was planning on selling them one day.
Never really had a Pro controller in my hands, but from videos it doesn't look too
complicated! It's just hard to figure out how to do with shipping, especially
if it would be recoloring the controller of someone, instead of buying a new one
and trying to sell it. It's a big reason why I didn't try starting a shop yet! :lemon:

I was actually thinking about trying to recolour my dock,
but I hesitate a lot for the Switch log.
I wanted to make mine pink as well, but then I ended finding different
colours that reminded me a bit of my childhood.
I will show soon how my new colours are looking and of what they remind me :D

If you paint me some purple joy cons I would be happy forever xD
These recolours are so gorgeous though! Well done for seeing it through and not giving up :D

My best friend actually suggested, that I make mine in full purple,
as it's his favorite colour. I almost went with it, but then I saw
the blue spraypaint and couldn't resist :b
I would love to spraypaint your and from others in the desired colour,
but I am so scared about the shipping :(

Here is my (again) recolored Nintendo Switch. This time with orange & fuchsia joy cons!
I've decided to change the colour, as it was too dark for my taste before.
Now it's bright and it reminds me of something from my childhood: Danonino
It has similar colours and that's why I'm calling my Switch "Danonitch".. very creative, I know

For now I am done with my Switch, because it already has too many layers of Spraypaint on it,
so I had to sandpaper some colour away to make the buttons fit through without getting stuck.
Glad I am still having a lot of other things to paint! At the moment I'm working on my boyfriends pad,
that he is using on his PC. He wants stripes.. it's quite tricky, I can tell you that.
I will try to post some progress of it here! (Hopefully with a better camera.. this one doesn't show the colours too good, grr..) <3

The paining itself is pretty easy. It's just that you need to make sure that you don't damage any
cables and plug everything back, once you are done painting. I once wanted to repaint my
3DS XL.. the cable of the screen ripped and even after replacing it, there was something else
damaged that I couldn't figure out and it was unusable after.. but that's way more complicated
to do than a controller anyways. The GameCube one for example is fairly simple, I will soon
try my luck on a Nintendo 64 controller. From videos it doesn't seem too complicated! :D

If you ever paint some, show me. Would love to see it :)

Here is finally the PC controller of my boyfriend!
It was very difficult for me to do those stripes, as I tried with high quality masking tape first
and for some reason after removing it, it left a lot of sticky residue.. so I had to sandpaper
some parts again and repaint them. However, I end up having a left-over skin from my
dBrand iPad Skin and I cut it into fitting stripes and it worked quite well!
Sadly I wasn't realising that the sides of the controller are some kind of rubber,
so the paint broke and now it looks not too good and also the stripes are not perfectly straight,
but my boyfriend still likes it and that's all that matters, I would say!

Man if you had like an Etsy shop of custom controllers, I would so buy.

I mean, I don't excactly know how that would work, since I guess someone would have to send the controllers to you so you can paint them, or you buy controllers and paint them but that would be really expensive.

Anyway, all your designs are really nice and very shop worthy!

Aww, thank you a lot! It makes me always smile to read things like that :)
Yeah, I would either need to buy a controller myself and then paint it in the colour of what the person wants or
they send me the controller, I paint it and send it back.. but either way it's quite pricy.
Let's say someone wants 2 joy cons for the Switch painted and I buy the joy cons. It would be over a 100?
just because the controllers themselves are super expensive and then + shipping :(
If I would accept to paint the own ones, the person would need to ship and this can be quite expensive as well,
as if the person is outside of France it will be over 15?.. and this twice + a bit for the paintjob.
I think overall it would be still cheaper for me to accept painting the own ones, but at the same time it would
be insanely stressful, as if I break something I have to get a replacement and this I would need to pay myself,
as it would be my fault.. normally this shouldn't happen, but you never know!

Anyways, it's my little dream to open a etsy shop but for that I will need some starting money
and at the moment literally everything breaks for me (my 2DS doesnt read games anymore,
Laptop wont turn on, phone starting to break apart and my guinea pig is sick)

so I have like zero chance to save up a bit q-q

Oh wow, they look gorgeous! The Switch just seems to suit neon colours for some reason :)
Aww I think the stripes look fine! I think you pulled them off very nicely :)

Thank you! I am glad you think so, I was honestly a bit scared of posting a picture of the controller,
as I knew it's not 100% perfect, but that's so hard, ahah. :)
Yeah, that's true.. it makes it look more "living" as well in my opinion. :D

These are amazing! You?re so talented <3

Thank you! <3

So.. here is something a bit different!
I asked for a GameBoy Advance SP for christmas and realised they are quite expensive if you
want them not too damaged. Luckily I've had already quite some experience in changing the
shell of this console so I asked for a cheap, quite damaged GameBoy and a Zelda replacement shell.
I have to say.. it looks like new and it makes me very happy, hehe <3
Funfact: The shell of a GameBoy Advance SP was the first one ever I've
tried to spraypaint as a kid.. it failed and I had to buy a new shell, ahah
