Have you even been infected with a virus or ransome? I've only really got a virus, but they were easy to remove.

My brother's laptop was once infected with "ransomware". I don't know where he got it from or how it happened. Luckily, I was able to stop him from calling the number and getting ripped off. I turned off his laptop, booted it up in safe mode and was able to remove the ransomware with no problems. A lot of 'innocent' sites end up being injected with it, it just sucks dealing with it.

I opened up a website called "nameberry" once, and like my laptop the one I'm on rn, I had headphones on and it was like "You have gotten a virus" or something like that. It kept repeating it and I was like pissing myself at this point (jk, but still a scary experience) I shut down my computer, once it loaded up I ran a virus scan and there was nothing. Life just kept going and my laptop was fine. Now I'm extra careful when I'm clicking links, reading the url and description. The funny thing is Google put the link like at the top with the main ones.

At first I thought you meant irl viruses and in that case, I think I had an amoeba in my stomach when I was little.

That's all lol

That just seems like scareware, to get you to call "Microsoft Support" or some fake tech support and get scammed

idk at that time, I had Brighthouse? for internet I think (now we have one we bought at a store) and it said something Brighthouse, and then the you have gotten a virus thing. It never told me to click anything and I don't remember if it said call.. This was like ~a year ago I think

Safe mode fixed it? That's a dumb virus, but ransomware is a scam

Yes, especially on my old Windows XP computer. It got many viruses back around 2009 or 2010.

Oh and there was this other virus that I forgot how my brother caused it, back in the 2011 days lmao
It wouldn't let you open up any application including google and games we had. It would just give you like a pop-up error. We brought it to Best Buy for them to fix it (which they did) .-.

I got three viruses before. All were from trying to pirate stuff lmao. I need to git gud.

The one had bugs crawling all over my screen. Freaked me the heck out but managed to clear it.
The second had pop ups popping up at max speed; faster than I could delete them. I slowly removed programs until they disappeared.
The third would send me to a blue screen after five seconds on the desktop, telling me that it was "fixing" my computer and this status bar would go up, the longer I was on the screen. This one was the worst by far.

Thank god for system resets. xP

nope but ive come close a few times before, norton has my back though <3

i have had a few time where norton would tell me i had a virus (usually a trojan) somewhere in my computer but it wasnt "active/activated"

i'm pretty sure manyyy years back i got a trojan or two but i'm really careful and haven't gotten anything in a whileee

I think I got one before but I'm not sure how... I booted up my laptop and my desktop was gone? The wallpaper was black and all my programs were either missing or hidden :/ I had to restore it to a backup point and lost a bunch of papers I had written, pretty weird

Yeah my old computer was virus full...
I'm sure it was because I used to use some dodgey music sites. I also had a virus which was sent over MSN (those were the days). No idea how it happened, I stupidly clicked on a link somebody sent me and ever since I had a pop up message each time I was on chat. Kept repeating itself and nothing would clear it

i think so but idk lolllll im bad w computers and my antivirus thing was like "oops u have a virus!!!" n removed it
