Yes I have broken a few bones! I was dropped as a baby (by accident) at 6 months old and broke my leg. Then learning how to walk I apparently broke my neck?

In 5th grade playing basketball I broke my pinky on my right hand. The ball bounced off it just right. If you look at both pinkies on both my hands you can see the right one has a very very slight bend to it.

Both of my bones in my right leg were broken in a bullying incident and took some time to heal. It was the only time any of my bones were broken throughout my life. Strangely, I didn't feel any pain when it happened, but at the time I was in shock I had been attacked, so I suppose I wasn't paying much attention.

Omg, I'm so sorry that happened. I know it's probably better now, but I really can't believe people sometimes...

Nope, just sprains. Though I almost broke a bone when I almost twisted my ankle all the way when i was 6. It ended up as a sprain instead. It happened the second time with my other ankle i believe a year later after the first one. Which is why my ankles make cracking sounds everytime i run, walk slowly, and go up or down the stairs. It's annoying. Oh yeah, i sprained my index finger last year from playing basketball too competitively.

When I was 9, I fell backwards when roller-skating and tried to break my fall, only to break my wrist in three places instead. When I was 12, I fell off my bike and broke my elbow on the same arm. At around 16/17, I broke my ankle and was made to walk on it "because you're fine", and I damaged it so severely that I had to have 3 surgeries to repair it + an upcoming surgery in a few months. I'm only in my late 20s and I have arthritis from these injuries. Remember to take care of yourself - if you think you broke something, you probably did.

yes, when I was 8 I was at a friend's house and sat on their exercise ball. I fell in a weird way and when I tried to soften the fall I broke my collarbone. It hurt really badly and I went to the emergency room but when I got it x-rayed the doctors x-rayed my shoulder and the image didn't cover my collarbone where the break was. Since nothing was broken according to the hospital, I was told to stay active and was forced to keep playing sports and stuff. The break was found a few months later after it had healed and I had a big bump on my collarbone, my sister pointed it out and we went to the doctor and they were like "lol yea you had a broken collarbone but it's cool now, nothing we can do about it".

I still feel a little sad/angry when I think about it because I went through a lot of unnecessary pain (from being forced to stay active when I should have been resting) and had occasional pain for years afterwards, which is normal in collarbone breaks but could have been partly prevented if it had healed better. The bump completely went away after a few years though so you can't see it anymore.

my parents felt awful that they didn't take my pain seriously (I was a quiet kid and didn't usually express things very well, but I kept telling them I was in pain and they kept telling me to stay active and forced me to still play sports even when I told them it really hurt) and when I had leg or knee pain a few years later they took it very seriously and made sure I was x-rayed where it hurt that time around, lol.

When I was 8 I fell off my scooter and broke my elbow on the road. The crack was small, but I had to wear a cast for a few months. A lot of kids signed my cast, even the ones that didn’t like me. Showering and eating were a pain since I had to do everything with one hand. Thankfully it wasn’t my dominant arm, so I could still write. The only physical pain that comes close was the time I had swimmer’s ear. Both were truly excruciating.

I almost broke my rib cage in the sixth grade. A girl who didn’t like me shoved me into a water fountain hard. I had a huge bruise for nearly a year, but she got away with it.

I fractured my back in 2 places when I was about 13 from playing many sports! Was not a fun recovery lol. Once they found the fractures I wasnt allowed to do anything even remotely physical for 6 months not even carry my backpack. I was itching to do anything other than lay around all day.

i havent, but i just sprained my ankle on thursday. as soon as i got home i went inside, noticed a package outside, put one foot out the door and something went *pop* in my ankle and i collapsed right in front of my house. thought i broke my ankle because of how LOUD the pop was, but its fine actually. it still hurts and its still swollen but its definitely improved. i was crying like a baby when it happened and was yelling a lot... bad times.

Yep. I was 8 when I tripped running at top speed and landed on my left arm. It broke both bones so the straight part of my arm appeared slightly curved. Thankfully I didn't have any bones pierce the skin. I had to have surgery twice in order to get the bones positioned so they could heal properly. I say twice because the first hospital didn't do a good enough job so I had to go back to a different hospital a week later for them to "rebreak" or undo any healing in order to position the bones better a second time. Thankfully after that everything healed just fine.

After the initial break I vaguely remember all the pain. It was awful. I also nearly passed out a couple times on the way to the hospital due to shock. The surgeries also messed with me as I remember feeling really doozy and tired after both times. I was also sick in the car on the way home after the second surgery so that was fun (not).

It's been 18 years since then but I really hope I don't break anymore bones. It's definitely not a nice experience.

the confirmed ones where i had to wear a cast or splint include:
my thumb (which was broken playing baseball), my elbow (which was fractured playing basketball), my ankle (fractured playing soccer), and my nose (accidental headbutt).

i'm confident though that ive had numerous other fractures of various toes and fingers, some of them are still crooked to this day heh.

When I was like 6 years old I broke my arm when playing on the playground. I was trying to do that rock climb and then I fell on my arm. It hurt so bad that I cried a lot.

I broke my foot when I was 15. My dad was outside and my mom and sister were at Walmart, so I had the house to myself. I wanted to write on the computer (in the basement) but I also wanted to bring my cat. (I should also note, the basement wasn't finished and the floor was concrete) I tried carrying her downstairs but she jumped out of my arms and I tripped (?) over her. I hit my head on a glass table and landed on my foot. I could barely get upstairs but after I did, Misty (the cat) stared at me for a while. It didn't really hurt; just felt numb.
Long story short, I broke my foot in four different places.

Ouch, that sounds very similar to me! Luckily I've only needed surgery once (so far lol). I felt really out of it and tired for at least a week afterwards. I also almost passed out from shock while getting driven to the hospital 😅 the pain wasn't the worst, but the shock of realizing I had hurt myself badly made me almost pass out haha!

I'll be 30 in June. I've never broken a bone or even had stitches. And I grew up playing sports, skateboarding, doing crazy dumb stunts as a kid that I shouldn't have been doing. I guess I've been pretty lucky.

Medical stuff freaks me out. I don't like talking about anything related to the medical field. I can't even listen to anyone talk about it or watch anything either. Especially shows that have surgeries or people crashing and falling and getting injured. I have to look away and cover my ears lol. If I'm watching something and it's gross, my family is like, "Matt look away... okay you can look now."

I don't have a weak stomach, but I'm just grossed out easily. Then I get paranoid and start to think about what if any of it happened to me.

No. Never. I've been super lucky considering I had several bicycle accidents, ski accidents, car accidents, pet accident (one of my cats got scared and bit my finger, my finger was blue and swollen for 2 weeks but somehow fine), I fell from a tree, fell while climbing a rock, fell in the stairs (several times), fell head first on ice, I got bruises, bumps and small cuts, but I never broke a bone.
Unlike members of my family who broke their toes on furniture.

Never broke a bone, unless teeth count. Then I have a chipped tooth.

I did once sprain both wrists while roller skating. I fell backwards and tried to catch myself.

I have never broken any bones wooo (knocks on wood).

I may have hurt a muscle thou in my butt from lifting somethin wrong (I was lifting a box off a pallet, I didn't even have to bend down, I turned and felt somethin I haven't felt before. First thought was 'well this can't be good'. For months it always hurt when I stood or sat for too long) and I may have somethin joint-wise wrong with my left knee.
