not federal, around here hardly any schools have it...only half of our grade did 'blocks' in 7th grade, and never done it any other year.

Well, it must just be state regulation, then.

I had 7 periods and a 20 minute lunch in 8th grade. >__> The periods are 50 minutes each with the exception of the one near lunch, which had 55 minutes. Lunch was seperated this way:

A Lunch: Includes half of 8th grade and half of 6th grade. Lunch starts after the 3th period.
B Lunch: Includes half of 7th grade and half of 6th grade. Lunch starts half-way through period 4 and period 4 resumes after Lunch.
B Lunch: Includes half of 8th grade and half of 7th grade. Lunch starts after the 4th period.

Yeah, I'm guessing that High School will be the same.
