How are you going to incorporate Amiibo cards into your play?

Are you going to use them to decide your whole town population? or choose not to use them at all? etc

I'm kind of torn on this, I want to use them and will probably only put in 2 villagers maximum and at a later date since I want my gameplay to feel more organic.

I'd stopped playing with NL by the time they came out, so I never got any of them. I don't think I'll use them, since I want to get to know new villagers and maybe discover new favorites, but who knows. I definitely need Vesta on my island, so maybe I'll only do it for her.

I will use them eventually or if their birthdays are near, but this time since all the characters are making me fall in love with them because they are just so beautiful, I'd like a chance to meet everyone!!! ⁄(⁄ ⁄ˊૢ⁄ ⌑︎ ⁄ˋૢ⁄ ⁄)⁄ ♡♡♡
I mean ALL of them, even if I was put off by them from an argument we had in my town or dispute (like where they placed their house) etc... (◜︎౪◝︎ )
I actually really want to meet Axel! He looks so cute here and I've never met him before if that's believable haha ☆

I will use them to get my faves in. if they want to move out, ill let them but bring them back in again in a few months or so

since i don’t own any amiibo cards, i won’t lmao - about 3 of my dream villagers are from welcome amiibo, however, so i’ll likely be seeking them out from other players lol

Well I just got the Amiibo Festival bundle and I really like the villagers on them, but I think I'll only use Stitches because he was my childhood favorite. I'm not sure though, I think it would be nice to fill my island with some good villagers instead of having like 8 random ones and hoping to replace them with some I prefer over the course of weeks and months.

I'm going to move stitches in asap!!! But after that I'll see what I can get naturally eventually I want all bears or bear cubs or koalas....but that will probably be around Christmas time...

I'm probably only going to use them for Phototopia and to get the posters. If we are able to get more than one poster, I would love to be able to get the posters to other people who don't have access to amiibo cards to try to give back to the community a bit.

I may invite Dizzy early on and just keep him as one of my permanent villagers from the very beginning. Or I might wait a couple months until my town is a bit more established and slot him in somewhere. There's no other amiibo card villager I have in mind to invite. Most of the cards I own are very random or I bought them (WA cards) for items and not the characters. I'm not planning on using my cards to force-move villagers like before (if that's even still a thing). I can also use the cards in Photopia, although I'm still not quite sure what to make of that feature lol.

I have amiibo cards for the majority of my dreamies, however I'm going to be playing fairly and ONLY scanning my Chief card to start! Chief was the first ever villager I met during my first ever playthrough of an Animal Crossing game (City Folk) and he's been in my future towns ever since, so I feel like that's fair.

I'd like to cycle out a good amount of villagers before I begin scanning my other dreamies, however! Gives me a chance for variety and a chance to experience all the new villagers that were added into the game c:

I stopped playing New Leaf before the amiibo feature was even introduced; you could use cards to make villagers move out? o:

Yep! In New Leaf you could invite an amiibo card villager through wisp. If your town is full, wisp will ask which villager should be kicked out and replaced with your amiibo card villager. We don?t know yet if we can kick villagers in the same manner in ACNH but I?m sure a lot of people would welcome the feature back!

I've got every amiibo I could want, so I'll be using them to get my favorite villagers if possible.

That's actually quite cool! If that feature comes back I may be using the cards a little more often then :3

I have amiibo cards for most of my favorites. Originally, I was going to use them to move some of those villagers in, but I think I'll just go with whatever I get this time. I'll probably still vote in my birthday twin, though, so we can celebrate together.

I plan to still use the cards to invite characters to the campsite and talk with them even if I don't ask them to come live on my island. I really hope they bring back the RVs from the New Leaf Welcome amiibo update, or at least the items or crafting recipes for the items. I really liked that feature. It looks like Harvey has a different role this time, but maybe they can still open an RV island or add it to his later on.

I will only scan Beau despite having the cards for 6 of my favorite villagers. But I was the game to feel more natural. But I will scan them in still because don't they give you a poster?

I have cards for all my favorites, so I'll be moving them in ASAP. I'm so happy they're going to be supported again!

I've got 10 cards for 10 characters that share a birthday with 10 of the closest people on my life. They'll all be moving in to my town.

I have all the amiibo cards but I am mostly using them to help my friends and kids that I teach.
I'm going to make an ocean themed part of my island and have the 3 octopi move in because they are my favorites. After that, I want to organically have different villagers come and go without amiibo intervention.
I have a second switch and might make a food themed town... but not sure yet.

not at all. i don't collect amiibo cards and i don't plan on starting for new horizons. i hope not too much will be locked behind amiibos, it would take the fun out of the game a little if i had to spend hundreds of dollars on amiibo cards to enjoy the game as much as possible.
