How did you find TBT

I used to play ACWW with my best friend in high school, but after we graduated I kind of forgot about the game and franchise in general. In my last year of college, I googled something about Animal Crossing because I was feeling nostalgic and it somehow brought me to the Bell Tree Forums. I didn't join immediately because I was hoping I'd get the game and play with my old friend again (it had already been out for a year at this point). I actually hadn't even considered online trading yet. After my friend told me she wasn't getting the game that's when I went back and registered on the forums 😂

I googled where to buy/trade Animal Crossing items online and TBT came up. I joined and haven't looked back!

i asked lots of questions on google about stuff and when i played acnl i feel like i dont have a friend to share my photos/unique screenshot with so i registered :p and then i became inactive and when i got my acnh i started logging in again and post acnh screenshots xD

I used to be on another AC forum that became pretty annoying/inactive and someone mentioned TBT there
never went back after joining here, this place is so much nicer =w=

I’m pretty sure it was when I was googling where to get New Leaf friends last year because everyone was playing NH and I didn’t have it yet 😭. I was looking for the rococo set! Hahaha (nostalgic for the days when Nintendo gave us much cuter furniture😅)

Then I realized this site was dope because of the shops and currency system, and the community is super cool so I stayed 💜✨

The only thing i still don’t understand quite fully is some of the rewards systems that are running on this site. Like, why did some people have cool backgrounds on their username last week? I totally missed what was going on. And though I think trading with TBT is cool and I’m fine with it, why do some people want to hoard like 10k tbt? And why do people want to collect those collectibles for like 5k tbt each? And why are collectibles so damn hard to get? I feel like cool ones are always being dropped and I have no idea!

It’s as enigmatic to me as crypto, tbh.

i was obsessed with nl when it first released and someone on tortimer island recommended another community and someone in that community (which is now inactive and dead) recommended tbt to me (if ur here hi lol)

EDIT:: IT WASNT NL OMG IT WAS CF??? i feel old.

I was trying to figure out something on ACNH and found TBT through a google search! So glad I did!! 💜

I came across a thread on a different forum of someone who makes town tunes and they moved to here. Since it was a few days before my 13th birthday I waited to sign up and I guess I just stuck around.

Like others here, I found it through the Google search engine 👀. I actually remember what exactly made me join, too. When I first bought New Leaf (the Amiibo re-released version), I was already a little late to the hype and so began buying Amiibo cards (both villager and RV) off of EBay to help get some items I wanted. However, there was one item in particular that I couldn’t get my hands on—the Fairy Bottle from Medli’s RV. I wanted it REAL bad, so I googled it trying to find places I could buy the item for IGB. Belltreeforums had some inactive threads in the Re-Tail section of different people purchasing or trading Medli’s items. I went ahead and made an account and posted for the Fairy Bottle. The rest is history. 🥴💛

I believe that I found The Bell Tree through Gamefaqs! That was the trading board I used the most when I was actively playing New Leaf but I'm pretty sure we used the villager tier list on here to price villagers? I want to say that's how I found it. I couldn't figure out how people were pricing villagers and I kept seeing people mention, "villager tier list" so either I Googled it or asked somebody to link me to it which brought me here! I hung around Gamefaqs for a while longer but things started to take a bit of a turn (I can't remember what happened lol) so I left and I made my account here!

...And then didn't really use it for years. I wound up on a different Nintendo themed forum for a while. When New Horizons was released though I remembered The Bell Tree existed and logged back in. I initially just hung out in the ACNH specific sections of the site but I've been branching out more and getting more comfortable with the rest of the site as well!

Was recommended it way back in the day during high-school by a friend c:

tbt was usually the first search link that came up when i was googling new leaf stuff, it came up so frequently that i poked around a bit and it had such an active trading community i thought i'd join! i'm not a forum person, i'd never interacted with anyone before online so i thought i'd pick up some stuff and bounce so it's crazy to think how i'm here 7 years later!

Google is my friend aswell. I was searching on how to get Villagers faster and happened to find out about TBT this way. :)

I found it from the AC World blog. It was after New Leaf had its first trailer, I think, and I was searching for more info. Found the blog and kept up with it for a while, and eventually found the link to the forums. It's hard to believe that was nearly 9 years ago now! My favorite times on the forums have been as we slowly got the details of NL and then NH, and then watching everyone start playing and discovering the game together. The collective excitement has been so fun and special both times, because I get to be surrounded by people who love my favorite series just as much as I do :)

Ok, quick answer is I joined tbt as I was looking for Bianca for my NL town and was told to join as she was available.

Longer answer, I need to check dates and I hope my son was over 13 when he joined 🙈 He was an active member long before me and knew I was desperate for Bianca. A lovely member was giving her away so he told me to join. I remember throwing him my DS during the trade as I felt stupid 😂 so I got a dreamie.

I then became an active member………. last year 🥺 so much wasted time but this year has been fab 💜

I searched for the afternoon tea set back when New Leaf was out and made an account here to trade for it (and other Japan exclusive items)
