How Did you Originally Come Across the Animal Crossing Series?

a few years ago, my mum picked up a copy for HERSELF and she absolutely loved it, wouldnt let me touch her game so she got me a 3ds and the game for my birthday lool and we still play together and trade and its cute cause she'll still talk to her villagers out loud "DERWIN YOU ARE NOT MOVING" "why does this octopus want a squid... weirdos" "oh boy the church bell is ringing"
shes really a card i tell ya

My best friend as a kid has AC wild world for the DS back in like 2006 or 2007 and I loved it. Good times :lemon:

I used to play Monster Hunter for the Wii back when i was a wee one, but my mother saw and thought it was too violent for someone my age, so she got me Animal Crossing GC as an alternative. Fell in love with every game in the series since.

Way back in 2002 my brother got a GameCube and bought Animal Crossing with it. He let me play it and we both got hooked; pretty much every single day I came home from kindergarten I'd go check on our town haha. I think it really helped improve my reading skills back then.

The first animal crossing game I ever played was the original on GameCube & I would still hop on and play years later.
I never played wildworld , city folk etc? never knew they existed until new leaf

When I was about nine or so, my parents decided to buy me a Wii and whatever game I wanted. At first I was going to pick some dog game, but then I saw the cover for City Folk and decided I wanted that instead. I didn't know anything about video games back then, so I didn't really know what Animal Crossing was but I thought it looked cute so I wanted it. Ten years later, I'm still playing. :)

When I was 4 I got my first ds and I also got a cartridge from my mum that had a bunch of games on it that you could download like Mario Kart, Wario Ware and Animal Crossing Wild World. I just got hooked on Wildworld and ive been playing the series ever since then.

I saw the GC version years ago at Gamestop. It looked interesting and wasn't very much so I picked it up. So glad I did :)

I watched a relative play it on her ds in 2005 when Wild World came out. I saw the furniture leaf, and for some reason I thought that was such a cool leaf that I put the game on my wishlist. And oh god did I love it. Nothing gives me the true AC-feeling like Wild World ^^

We had a Gamecube when it first came out, my Dad bought Animal Crossing and that's when I first found out / started playing it!

I had seen online advertising for Wild World before I had a Nintendo DS. I didn't quite understand it at the time and later forgot all about it. Then when I was still a bit new to my Nintendo DS, a Gamestop employee tried to talk me into getting it (I remember him explaining Tom Nook). It sounded interesting, but I got a different game instead. As time went by, there were more and more games I wanted and I forgot all about Wild World. When there was information out about a new Animal Crossing game for the 3DS, a friend I met online was telling me about it. I cannot remember what made me want New Leaf, but perhaps it was so I could play it with her. My younger brother wanted it too, but likely not for the same reason, and we ended up getting the game a few days after it released. As of right now, I still don't have Wild World, but I did get City Folk.

When I was nine, my family went on a holiday and we found a store that sold knick-knacks that had DS games in it. My mother allowed us to buy one game each so I chose a Pokemon game and my little sister chose Wild World because she liked the cover of it. We shared the game and we both loved it, and years later we are both still loving the series.

I read about the Japanese GameCube version in game magazines. After Nintendo of Europe announced they had no plans to localise the game, I imported the North American version and played with forum friends, trading Nook messages online to get foreign fruit and items. Fun times. ;)
