how do you manage what screenshots you keep & which one's you delete?

I usually take a lot of screenshot but then I just select them all and delete everything, except what I think I should keep based on the little thumbnail. I figured out that if I don't remember what was the screenshot about it's not that important.
The thing is that I also record most fly-overs when I visit island, but since the thumbnail is almost always black I just delete it because I'm not the smartest one

in hindsight, i think i actually took more screenshots of pokemon shield than i have NH. regardless -- if it's a screenshot that can feasibly be taken again at any time, it gets deleted.

ahhh... please don't remind me... truth is... i deleted all of my pokemon sword & shield screenshots & my digimon cyber sleuth screenshots before i played NH... & now i really regret doing that

i only keep the best scenery photos, cute dialogue (usually conversations between two villagers), some event dialogue

i've been doing that, too :3

just recently, though, i've been thinking about keeping the pretty scenery photos on my switch album :3

I have a lot, too! Aside from ones that I never meant to take (hand slipped to the screenshot button, etc.) I try to look for ones that have dialogue repeated. I find that after I take a screenshot of fun dialogue, it shows up again, so I take another screenshot forgetting I have one already.

Others I delete are 'similar looking' ones, I keep the best and delete the rest. I'm also uploading a lot to my computer as well, so I can remove some that I took for my upcoming island journal on here. I have a lot of in-progress shots of my island that I do keep, though.

For me, when I was limited in the room that I had, I usually just kept the screenshots that were more interesting and deleted those that were more boring or were repeats of screenshots I already had (if I had taken multiple at once). Fortunately, Nintendo allowing us to connect our Switch to a computer with a USB cable to download screenshots off of it made things so much easier, since now I can just dump all my screenshots on my laptop once I've reached the max and then delete them from my Switch, lol.

As long as you're happy with the picture quality, it should be! It's been a while since I uploaded anything to facebook, though. Someone with more experience might be able to help answer that question better!

Fortunately, Nintendo allowing us to connect our Switch to a computer with a USB cable to download screenshots off of it made things so much easier, since now I can just dump all my screenshots on my laptop once I've reached the max and then delete them from my Switch, lol.

maybe, i'll try doing that sometimes... it'll make putting my screenshots onto facebook a lot easier :3

ack, i feel this. i’ve currently got 633 screenshots and while i always find myself hoarding photos a bit lmao, i try to only keep screenshots of what i consider monumental; milestones, cute/funny moments, hanging out with my friends, pascal’s quotes, scenery shots that i’m proud of, island hopping finds, villager first and last days and before and after photos!

tldr; basically, i save screenshots of anything that may never happen again and anything else usually gets deleted. :’)

i feel like i'm gonna transfer all of my acnh screenshots onto facebook & then delete most of them ... most of them... i know i want to keep the scenery ones on there...

i have a 128 gb micro sd card so i don't have to choose which ones to keep.

but i do delete ones i only took for nook miles or for the wedding event because those are trash.

I keep everything except accidental screenshots. If I start to run out of space, that won't be much of a problem since I can back them up to my laptop.

you know... i've really decided to restart my island.... i don't care if i'm 13 days in... i don't care if i already have the campsite, the resident services updated & able sister's tailer shop is coming today.... i can get them back...

i want apples... & i want to drink apple juice at the beginning...





& i've got my memeries/screenshots on my facebook, so it's fine there :3 so i'll be doing a new island journal...

I keep screenshots of cute moments/interractions and places. A lot of what I end up deleting is villager dialogue, I gave myself a rule that if a dialogue is longer than 2/3 pics I delete it. I also get rid of stuff that I screenshot for convenience's sake, like pics of villagers trying on outfits I want to gift them on Joe's island, or pics of my map before I terraform it (the ones I take when I'm afraid to mess up so I can always put everything back the way it was ) .

It got to the point where my data on the Switch was full (because I never uploaded the screenshots/videos from all of my games through the past years) that I just went and deleted a ton of them. They might've been ones I wanted to keep, but it was just too much to go through and see what I wanted and didn't.

So I just mass purged them.
